This isn't actually just for my views on holidays, you can share your views on some holidays too 
Anyway here's what I think of a few holidays:
New Year's: It's great if you're an alcoholic insomniac (like me
) but the holiday itself is kinda pointless tbh, 3.5/5
Lunar New Year: Yay dragon dance in the street, Chinese food, Chinatown trip, 5/5
Valentine's Day: Why on earth do you need just one day of the year to say that you love someone? Also this is one of several holidays that has its roots in incest 💀💀💀
Absolutely pointless, 0/5
St. Patrick's: Let's go another day I can get drunk (it's also the day me and Ruri confessed to each other
) and Ireland rules, 5/5
April Fool's: It's funny when you're the one pulling pranks, not when you get the short end of the stick though, and this holiday ages worse than cheap wine it's literally no fun when you're older and/or wiser, 2.5/5
Easter: As is the case with literally all Christian holidays it's way too commercialized but it's nice for watching sakura bloom, 3.5/5
Vernal Equinox (other Matsuris are classed under here):Holy shit I get to drink sake?!?!?! Honestly this is an amazing holiday, I can sit outside literally surrounded by people and watch sakura bloom and go to a Shinto temple AAAAAAA, 5/5
Mayday: Honestly unless you're Mongolian or you like The HU, you wouldn't really get why people celebrate this day apart from schoolkids who may get a day off, 4/5
Cinco de Mayo: Even as an Idugan I still go around Mexican restaurants on this day (love free guacamole at Las Iguanas, pog), also it's so fun, 5/5
Pride Month: As a bi/poly trans girl I honestly don't like this holiday, it's around as pointless as Valentine's Day since I don't need a month to be accepted only to be hit with homophobia like a rock on July 1st, if you're gonna be a homophobic prick then be one I don't care, 1/5
Independence Day: Just American Cinco de Mayo tbh, automatic 5/5 and I love the fireworks too
Halloween: Huge waste of time tbh, it's not even fun when you're older but I love watching gothic films on this day and I actually celebrate this properly as a pagan, 3.5/5
Bonfire Night: Nice fireworks, nicer excuse for Guinness, 4.5/5
Armistice Day: Why does this day exist if we're not commemorating the deaths of the unknown soldiers who died in this war, the several thousand innocent Japanese and Laotian civilians killed during WWII and the Vietnam War respectively, etc., seems like a bit of a pisstake tbh and it's not even a holiday if you still have to go to school and partake in a minute's silence, where's the minute for the other wars, eh? 1.5/5
Black Friday: Did someone say anarchy? 5/5
Birthdays: Fun any day of the year, I also feel immensely strong having survived another year not succumbing to my deteriorating mental state, 5/5
Christmas: Just Easter and Halloween just commercialized more and even more boring tbh, 2/5

Also, kill me but if I like Christmas that much, it's just because it feels like judgement is gone. Most people enjoy their life out and you have time to spend with your family and loved ones. A block of dopamine.

I won't blow up over you liking Christmas, I pretty much have to celebrate it cause Catholic family (my grandmother's side is all Mongolian pagan including me but anyway)
I guess I just find it boring cause I was kinda forced into it but it is an insane dopamine rush for many I guess

Personally I feel like Christmas doesn't deserve such a low rating. As a Christian, we commemorate Christ dying for us. But it's also about family reunions and the presents. I hate family reunions. I love presents. And +1 bonus, you get a whole break from school enough time to go on vacation. Me, I'm going to Vietnam on Christmas break. Christmas is 5/5

New Year's: Very Flashy. Very New. Very Year's. Wow. 3/5.
Valentine's Day: I'm not even rating this. This doesn't even deserve to be a day.
St. Patrick's: Lotsa green stuff. Green was historically my favourite colour before I wisened up and realised blue was somewhat just better. Overall I don't see enough love for the holiday that celebrates one man driving thepagans snakes off of the green isles. 4/5
April Fools: I agree on this one. Seems fun on paper but it generally gets less and less fun the older you get. That and the non-zero amount of people who go too far and actually scare people or get their hopes up. AND the fact that everyone gets so needlessly suspicious around this time meaning you can't make an unironic announcement unless you want to get chased off the face of the earth. 2/5.
Easter: Nice rabbit. The easter hunts are much appreciated. The candy's good too. Basically a tropical christmas. 5/5
May Day: Why is May a month, name, and day? 2/5
Pride Month: I agree with everyone here on this. It's honestly just better imo if each of the parts of the LGBTQ+ had their own days (e.g. Celebrate Bisexuality Day on Sept 23rd, Transgender Day of Rememberance on Nov 20th, etc.) Pride month itself is still kinda there though, so 2/5.
Arbour Day: Doesn't seem to work. I don't even know what day it's truly on. What is the true arbour day? 1/5 until further notice. Needs an ocean counterpart.
US Independence Day: The US does not need to go THIS hard over just existing but I'm glad they do. 3/5. docking one point because it's terrible to dogs.
Halloween: THE SPOOKIEST TIMES OF THE YEAR ARE THE BEST TIMES OF THE YEAR AND I WILL FIGHT YOU ABOUT THIS 13/5
Bonfire Night: The day where we all celebrate and immortalise one fool man's mistake one long lost time ago. 3/5
Remembrance Day: yeah i appreciate the whole "war is bad" thing but 2/5
Black Friday: no. 0/1.
Christmas: Still overcommercialised but I do recognise that it has some good in it. Then again, it does still have a whole genre of substandard movies that are all the same. (The Nightmare Before Christmas is singlehandedly the best christmas movie on account of being a halloween movie). 4/5
