Hello. If you may have seen, I just got the world record for Mario Circuit 1 SNES. just to make things clear immediately, I am not an alternate account of the player hillsrevival. The reason I'm saying this is because I notice that they have been posting on the forum talking about how close they were to the record, and suspicion may arise if I don't clear that up, So that's that. I used to be a prominent player past 2017, not infamous or banned, I just forgot my tag. This is the start of a new era and a new journey, and I'm so glad to reeenter this community. In the grand scheme of things, the speedrunning scene in mkpc is nowhere near as competitive as other games, including mainline Mario Kart titles. Maybe they are good at speedrunning in general? I'm not saying completely shut down the idea that this may be an alt, but just consider it

I initially did write a message clearing things up about this whole situation, but my computer shut down as I was about to send it. Since i do care a lot about this game, and it is one of my favorite ones i've played in the past couple years with how much I've been dedicated to it, I will write again. If you truly do care about my future as a player and need explanation as to what was going on, that will be below. As always thank you so much for everything you guys have given me on this website and i truly cannot thank all of you enough, especially Nodalloween64(Nodac) and Proudster.
Anthcny just beat the record, I know. Upon submitting it previously, I did feel like there were some things that could be improved on it. I didn't feel like submitting it at first, but over some thinking, i figured "hey this is a record i'll just submit it anyway" and thats what I did.
After this though, is what permanently left a stain on my career and what i genuinely regret doing the most on my entire time being on this website. I lied on an alt as if i was someone else, (radioboii) and played it off like i was a random with exp+ who took the record. I don't want to say that now I realize the severity of what i've done and that i JUST realized it was a big mistake, because to be frank, That is not true. When I did this, I knew that it was not a great thing to do, especially beacuse I was misleading people, some of which were my friends I had new on the site. There have been countless times I've had bad days where things just weren't going the greatest. Ever since I quit Smash Ultimate, this has kind of been an escape from those things and it does cheer me up a little being able to have these fun races and meet all these cool people. In my days on the internet, I've rarely ever had to write an apology for anything, but I'm doing this now because what I did was very wrong, and should not ever be repeated by me or anyone else on the website.
The reason I did this was because I was bored one day and wanted to make some talk on the forums, but now I realize that this was definitely not the way to do it. I know some of you may see me as untrustworthy or malicious now, and i completely understand that. I hope overtime as this goes by, you can see who I truly am and things can be back to normal.
I am taking full accountability for my actions here, and I'm not trying to hide anything or make it seem not as bad as it really was. I'm being completely honest with my words here. I could write something quick with no effort and try to lie and confuse people once more, but im not that kind of person, and hopefully in these coming months you can see this. I just want to say thanks for everyone who has supported me and if you allow me, I will continue to grind and improve my skills to hopefully get the record back, no alts this time.
Yes this is hillsrevival, and im planning on changing my name to radioboii permanently because I like the name better. Although it may be infamous I've always wanted a name like this for the longest, and hills or hillsrevival is just something that stuck since last year because I was thinking of a discord name and tbh hillsrevival makes no sense and is kind of stupid. I could write a nother paragraph for why I chose the name but you probably don't care so I'm not going to. In the future I'll try to improve and become a better player, both on the track and on the forums. I apppreciate each and every one of you and if it werent for some of the great people I met on here, I wouldn't still be playing mkpc now.
(Just a note, i unironically use the nerd emoji because I wear glasses irl, just wanted to point that out so people dont think I'm not taking things seriously.)

Always upload your new best runs, even if they're not world record or if they're improvable (a run is always improvable trust me, and you probably know it already)
