I'll play online when there is enough people online playing to where I won't lose 400+ VR in a single race, because 1 bad loss can be like 20 wins of VR lost, which takes forever to get back especially since I am aiming for Superstar rank
I usually spectate or quit if player counts get too low for this reason, I would be down for some casual Non-VR play if I am not busy too

it’s literally just newbies online that quit after like one race and even if they do stay they’re below my level, which just makes it not fun anymore since I barely have anyone to compete with

Like last time I found a room with more than 5 people online was almost a month ago so...

I think there's a few reasons for this:
> Majority of the playerbase is European so when you guys come online most of us are asleep lol
> There aren't very many good CTs to race on online, and the ones that are good often lag on low-end devices (vanilla is pretty shit as well)
> A lot of the older players with more experience have jobs and attend college or university (i.e. they have a life)
> People just prefer talking on the forums and arguing for some reason (sometimes it can get way out of hand tho holy shit

I'm trying to work on some CTs that will be fine to play on low-end devices that are also viable for online play to help this but you also have to consider that timezones exist and you can't expect activity 24/7

Actually, most of the mkpc community as of now is from the US from what ive seen, 2nd most common is french and they are about 6-9 hours behind so id understand this, most people play on pc anyway more specificaly just at school so usually the game running bad doesnt even happen that much. I can see what you meant when you said how people have simply just moved on and grew older which i get it that happens. people can just be genuinely bored of the game too and that also makes sense. yeah its just kind of sad how theres barely anyone online anymore who genuinely plays for the online part of it, or heck not even online just the game MKPC in general, like trying out cups, racing against bots etc.

I swear this game's online mode playerbase was a lot bigger last summer. I genuinely haven't seen a 6+ player online game since school started, though the fact that I rarely go on this site outside of weekends because my school blocks this website and almost all of the ways to bypass the website blocks might be contributing to it. Getting off the forums to actually play the game sounds like the MKPC equivalent of touching grass to me. After the message leaderboards were removed, people stopped using the forums to message competitively with others but there is still the people who ONLY are here for the forums or any other kind of chat...
