Pokémon was a good series until Pokémon Scarlet and Violet appeared. But I still think Pokémon from gen 1 to gen 8 are still good

Not in its current state, and I doubt it'll ever be good again. Ever since the series switched to full 3D (X/Y) the series has become more and more creatively bankrupt: full of nostalgia-pandering towards genwunners and focused on gimmicks that get dropped the next generation, with an increasingly stale and lifeless game experience outside of that.
Dexit and the intro of DLC was the final straw for me. The fucking series tagline is "Gotta Catch 'em All", and suddenly Game Freak decides to retcon over half of the Pokémon out of the series in the name of balance while also adding in Dynamax and upping the power creep to laughable levels. As for DLC, it gives Game Freak an excuse to rush out a game with a third of the content that it should have at full price only to sell whatever else they had cooked up later. For reference: up until about 6 months ago, you could buy Pokémon Crystal for $10 on the 3DS EShop. The full experience of Pokémon Sword (or Shield) is $90. You're getting roughly half of the content of a fucking Game Boy game for almost 10x the price.
That being said, everything up to and including Heart Gold/Soul Silver are still rip-roaring good times. If you haven't played them, unfortunately there's no cheap (R/B/Y runs minimum $50 each and it's only up from there) way to legally obtain them anymore, but there's always roms of stuff online. Legally I cannot endorse that, but you can do that.
