RIGGED!

I am a newbie in Mario Kart PC but whenever i race, the CPUs were literally  came first out of nowhere and I just end up from 4th to last place! I think I saw this kind of cheating and please, somebody needs to fix the CPUs behavior! Also sometimes, whenever i use the bullet bill power up in a track, it doesnt change the position like im in 8th place to 2nd place but it doesnt show in the position text!\r\n

Get good. (that is actually part of it, just get better)

One question; are you playing Grand Prix? If so then the CPUs are definitely harder in that mode but they aren't changing that. If you're in VS you can make them easier if you're not already on easy mode

i'm not trying to be mean here, but...i think you just gotta get better. try learning a few things

It may be lag if it randomly just teleports to 1st place. They may just use a bullet bill and pass everyone so that could be the reason too, or get a golden shroom and much more. Mario kart is easy to come back from last due to items. It's frustrating for me too at times.

I mean i hate to break it to you but i mean you already said it, youre just not good

I've had the same problem before, but now I can beat those CPU, try to play VS and Time Trials, and try learning many tecniques, and over time you can beat those bots

Another one, why the hell did CPUs made a comeback when I'm in first place even when i play like in the original Mario Kart games?

Like i played literally like a pro in the original series and this game, but the CPUs behavior is making me no sense

In Grand Prix they're naturally faster than you, or they could just be taking shortcuts

Rubber Banding is the stupidest, dumbest thing Nintendo's ever done with this game, like, this is still here since Super Mario Kart! Like, MKWorld still has it. CAN WE ESCAPE THIS TORTURE?! NO, well, RIP, this is why I'll NEVER play Grand Prix in this game. End of Story.

Every game has rubberbanding/targeting otherwise it'd just be too easy. I've been playing Retro Rewind and these CPU chuds spend half of their time playing for bs snipes and get hit instantly, and there's three blues a race. You just have to get used to it.

About the position number changing, are you playing the base game tracks or custom ones? If you're playing a community creation, it might just have a checkpoint issue and it's not ur fault

Yeah, I don't mind it but I just bet a lot of Mario Kart players HATE this feature. I'm not a hater of this feature, I think it's a good choice since the game will be again, like you said, too easy. It provides a challenging experience for newcomers and pro players. This is a good thing.

Try bagging in 5th to last to get better items in the beginning of the race. Also, if you get a good item like a star, or a bullet bill, keep it in your item slot until you really need it.

i mean what the hell do you expect from a game where it's physics hasn't been updated in 7 years.

Since you’re so far ahead of them, they get wayyy better items, making it much easier for them to come back. The farther you are from first, the better items you will get.
