bro. 3 weeks ago, i was going on vacation. it was gonna be super fun. BUT, my science teacher said quiz on the tuesday i get back. i ask for a extension, but she said no. she says i should study during my vacation. vacation is a time of relaxing, not a time of studying. Now, i have another vacation this week. and the teacher gave us another quiz on the tuesday i get back and she also said no to the extension i asked for. i feel like im getting targeted

You just have to be kind to them. If others in the class hate her and you treat her well (and not in a Roger Klotz way), it will turn out better for you, trust me.

Y'all complaining about a test right after a break it's really not that bad. You get two weeks (at least in Canada) to study and you are not gone for that long

Few things:
- "Just treat her well" NEVER. WORKS. From experience, at least. I've already finished both primary and secondary education (I'm now in college) and getting a teacher who seems to single you out specifically to magically not is a nigh insurmountable feat. I had a similar experience with my Maths teacher in Year 10 (9th grade roughly) and he just straight up hated my guts, regardless of what I did in lesson, good or bad. After all, their job at the end of the day isn't even to be fair to everyone, it's to educate, even if their methods are morally dubious at best.
- Asking for deadline extensions also never really works, that is unless you're seen as "special needs" (yes, I fucking hate that term too, but it's very often used in teaching so I'm rolling with it). I went on holiday to Cambodia with my cousin who had just gotten engaged to her now wife, and as soon as I got back we had an in-class exam which I only JUST passed by the skin of my teeth. Yeah, I wasn't given a deadline extension either, some bullshit about the workplace being tougher (we all know the entire conservative spiel by now), which felt really hypocritical given that some other students who were off for less were given deadline extensions
- Apparently schools (at least where I live) don't actually authorise time off for holidays, which is a bit stupid to be honest, especially if there wouldn't even be a way for the student to make it to school with said holiday. It does ease with college but you can get expelled for having too many unauthorised absences so whether or not it's a genuine plus is kind of debatable (though in fairness they do permit time off for holidays)
So yeah my advice is to just get it over and done with. If you don't pass it's the fault of the education system, not yourself
