A Nintendo Direct recently released featuring information on a lot of new games. I will only go into detail on a few of them but I will show the full list here. All games listed will be released on the Nintendo Switch, but some may also be released on the next-generation console.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is a new entry in The Legend of Zelda series. It is a 2D game, not a 3D game. As opposed to other The Legend of Zelda games where you play as Link, in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom you play as Zelda. Zelda is also able to 'remember' objects and place them down wherever she wants. This game will release on September 26th, 2024.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is a new entry in the Metroid Prime series, and, by extension, the Metroid series. This game was revealed a very long time ago, and it finally has a rough release date, being 2025, and gameplay. However, there is not much more information about this game. As previously stated, its only release date is 2025.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership
Mario & Luigi: Brothership is a new entry in the Mario & Luigi series. Interestingly, this series appeared to no longer be in production, as the company that previously made Mario & Luigi games went bankrupt. However, Nintendo themselves are continuing the series. This game is going to expand upon Bros. Moves in battles, but not a lot is known about this game. This game will release on November 7th, 2024.

Super Mario Party Jamboree
Super Mario Party Jamboree is a new entry in the Mario Party series. It is a sequel to Super Mario Party, a game available on the Switch. This game will have more minigames than any other Mario party game, and there will be 5 new boards and 2 returning boards. The new boards will be Rainbow Galleria, Roll-em Raceway, Goomba Lagoon, Mega Wiggler's Tree Party and King Bowser's Keep. The returning boards are Mario's Rainbow Castle from Mario Party and Western Land from Mario Party 2. This game is to release on October 17, 2024.

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD
Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is a port of Donkey Kong Country Returns, which was originally released for the Nintendo Wii. However, this port appears to be using the Nintendo 3DS version of the game. This game will have upscaled graphics, as the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo 3DS versions featured 720p graphics, while this version will feature 1080pHD graphics. This game will release on January 16, 2025.

UraniumMan Also @KirbyBoy wtf you mean a 3DS is cheaper than DKCRHD? DKCRHD will be $80, same as any other 1st party Switch game. The cheapest 3DS I could find online is $112, plus you still need to buy DKCR for the 3DS

UraniumMan Getting what we did was a massive surprise tbh, you can't be complaining we didn't get a long-dead series. And the reason they're porting 3DS games to Switch is because not everyone has a 3DS, and the Switch runs in higher resolution
