hey guys recently i found a trailer for a new game called glitch strikers, it seems to be inspired by many nes games (most notably super mario bros) and almost feels like a sequel of super mario bros. crossover(also made by the same guys behind that game), but with a story and original characters, here goes the trailer:
also as a extra side note, i want to do something similar in scratch, but with the actual characters and more franchises (fan favorites like dragon quest, final fantasy, gradius, sonic the hedgehog, and also obscure games like arkista's ring and shadow of the ninja)

TLDR they always announce third kits super randomly after content is finished, and the last patch had a rather interesting change that makes it easier to get Sheldon Licenses for all weapons. I wonder why they waited until now to do that, since they aren't adding any more weapons tl the game...
That being said, there's no data for it in the files yet, but we have at least 1 more update before Grand Fest(SS & OtH Ultra Signal dialogue), and they'll keep doing reruns for another year at least. Have some faith.
Stages are done tho, and so are the catalogues & Salmon Run gear. At least you can get anything you miased now...
Yeah no this is copium. You're right in many points but it's still copium. There's no files in the game yet, they've had several chances to reveal them and they haven't, and in S2 they started to add them in in 4.0, one update before the game's final update. Since 9.1 (likely what the Grand Fest update will be) is going to be the game's final update (probably), they probably would have started to release by now
Keep in mind Splatoon 2 was notoriously rushed(Brella wasn't in the game at launch, for example), Splatoon 3 is definitely the least rushed entry, things are different this time around. Even then, just because there's nothing in the files yet has never meant anything for any other Nintendo game(Fighter Pass 2 wasn't there, Mario Kart Tour, Xenoblade 2 DLC wasn't in the files afaik). I don't think we had confirmation on Star Allies' DLC either. It's not out of the question, especially when weapons are just recolors.
Recolours AND kits. Nintendo is notoriously lazy and if we do get third kits at all they'll be of low quality, and I think at this point in the game Nintendo knows there's probably enough content for people to continue buying the game, thus making them more money, so from their point of view there's not much of a point. Besides, they only confirmed content for two years, and that's over. They wouldn't extend it for something that wouldn't benefit them very much.
Nintendo? Lazy? Are we talking about the same Nintendo? Surely not. The few lazy games we've gotten have all been from other companies(Game Freak, Camelot, NDCube, etc). The only game I can think of was Switch Sports, and even then that was just as much that they didn't plan to have much content anyway.
Third kits are as easy as changing some colours & applying the Sub & Special & a label, people do designs all the time. Especially when alot of the designs can be ripped straight from Splatoon 2 this time around.
Wave 1 of the BCP was lazy, especially making it at all instead of putting more effort into MK9 for the next console, Mario Odyssey itself obviously wasn't lazy but it was lazy they did absolutely nothing else with it except Balloon World, Tears of the Kingdom was lazy using the same world as BotW did, Metroid Prime in general bc they keep porting games instead of working on Metroid Prime 4, the list goes on. I think Nintendo's pretty lazy. It is true they could reuse Kensa kits from S2, though, so I'll give you that one.

TLDR they always announce third kits super randomly after content is finished, and the last patch had a rather interesting change that makes it easier to get Sheldon Licenses for all weapons. I wonder why they waited until now to do that, since they aren't adding any more weapons tl the game...
That being said, there's no data for it in the files yet, but we have at least 1 more update before Grand Fest(SS & OtH Ultra Signal dialogue), and they'll keep doing reruns for another year at least. Have some faith.
Stages are done tho, and so are the catalogues & Salmon Run gear. At least you can get anything you miased now...
Yeah no this is copium. You're right in many points but it's still copium. There's no files in the game yet, they've had several chances to reveal them and they haven't, and in S2 they started to add them in in 4.0, one update before the game's final update. Since 9.1 (likely what the Grand Fest update will be) is going to be the game's final update (probably), they probably would have started to release by now
Keep in mind Splatoon 2 was notoriously rushed(Brella wasn't in the game at launch, for example), Splatoon 3 is definitely the least rushed entry, things are different this time around. Even then, just because there's nothing in the files yet has never meant anything for any other Nintendo game(Fighter Pass 2 wasn't there, Mario Kart Tour, Xenoblade 2 DLC wasn't in the files afaik). I don't think we had confirmation on Star Allies' DLC either. It's not out of the question, especially when weapons are just recolors.
Recolours AND kits. Nintendo is notoriously lazy and if we do get third kits at all they'll be of low quality, and I think at this point in the game Nintendo knows there's probably enough content for people to continue buying the game, thus making them more money, so from their point of view there's not much of a point. Besides, they only confirmed content for two years, and that's over. They wouldn't extend it for something that wouldn't benefit them very much.
