Add 1, Remove 1 (Smash Bros. Edition)
On 2021-02-20 at 17:28:18
To start, I'll replace Fox with Slippy Toad.
On 2021-02-20 at 17:27:48
So, you probably have seen my Add 1, Remove 1 game/topic. That one was for the MKPC roster, meanwhile this one is for Smash 64.
The Rules are simple. You add 1 character, but also have to remove a character. This first post will be updated pretty frequently, so make sure you check this often before making a post.
So, the current roster is:
Mario
DK
Link
Samus
BUP
Kirby
Slippy Toad
Pikachu
Luigi
Ness
Captain Falcon
Jigglypuff

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door [:] A Paper-Cut Above The Rest?
On 2021-02-12 at 13:38:55
Most of my opinions of this game are "it's good". The only problem I have with the game is how much backtracking there is in LITERALLY EVERY CHAPTER, besides maybe 3. What doesn't help is that 85% of the rooms the game are just really long hallways.
It's just not fun.
Also, it's not my favorite Paper Mario game. That honor goes to Color Splash, for personal reasons.
Rankings of chapters:
7. 4
6. 2
5. 1

Also why do spiny shells exist in battle if you only have 1 balloon to start with? The only way to get another balloon is with a mushroom but you rarely ever get those.
...you do know you can press shift to give you more balloons from a total of 5, right?
My Thoughts On Today's Direct
On 2021-02-18 at 15:49:48
Me who wanted Rex:
My top 5:
5. Legend of Mana
This looks kinda like Chrono Trigger. I could possibly be interested in this one.
4. FallGuys
3. Skyward Sword HD
Still pondering on what my first Zelda game should be, but this might be a good start.
2. Mario Golf: Super Rush
Neat.
'tis all I'll say.
1.Miitopia
MIIITOPIA FOR SWITCH BABYYYYYYYYY
horses too
BUT I DON'T CARE, IT'S MIITOPIA
FOR SWITCH
THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIIIIIIIIIIFE

Your Thoughts On Bowser's Fury
On 2021-02-16 at 01:40:49
It's just kinda...alright.
I got 80/100 Shines in less than a day, so I'll only touch on the things I think suck the most:
So, there's basically a glorified day/night cycle
Bowser's angernessness is the night.
And, if you collect a Cat Shine at night, Bowser goes away.
But then the "night" becomes more frequent
And, if you collect enough shines, Bowser gets stuck out until you do the final boss again
(yeah, I'm talking about the """""post game""""" which is accesable after only half the shines)
So, to be able to collect all teh shines, you basically gotta do the final boss about 3 or more times.
Do I even NEED to explain more about why this mechanic sucks?
Also, Roiling Roller Isle sucks ass
-insta-death lava everywhere
-so many slopes
-if you die, you get sent back ALL THE WAY TO THE START
not to mention how much waiting you have to do, with most of the waiting usually having to be while Bowser's out.
Similar story with Mount Magmeow.
Despite it having the best music in the game,
I hate it.
You fall off at the top?
Climb aaaaaallll the way back up.
No exceptions.
It's bad.
I also feel like the game explains...too little. Yeah, 3D world didn't say anything and didn't explain why Bowser trapped fairies in bottles, but that's just one thing. The rest is made decently clear.
Bowser's Fury, on the other hand?
You go in black paint to reach some cat-themed islands, which are covered in black paint, and Bowser got covered in Black Paint, and now he's mad for some reason.
That's it.
That's all you are told.
No other details.
So, overall, I'd give this game a 5/10. Almost everything relating to this game's main selling point (Bowser and his fury) are terrible.

Wario or Waluigi?

Call me stupid, but I like both Wario and Waluigi equally.

If you could choose the next 3 characters for the fighter's pass, who would you pick?

I said this in those topics but I'll say it here too.
Why do Hot Dogs come in packages of 8 but Hot Dog Buns come in packages of 10?

Ranking every course in Super Mario Sunshine
On 2020-10-02 at 15:59:52
for Super Mario sunshine stages, i give it a 7/10
That's not what I mean. I mean like...ordering them from worst to best, and saying why. Not giving them a rating.
oh...
Bianco Hills: 8/10
Ricco Harbor: 4/10
Gelato Beach: 10/10
Pinna Park: 7/10
Sirena Beach: 6/10
Noki Bay 8/10
Pianta Village 6/10
Corona Mountain: 9/10
1. I wouldn't consider Corona Mountain a level.
2. Corona Mountain isn't even close to 9/10. It's a terrible final level. In addition, Ricco Harbor isn't even close to that bad.
3. That's not exactly what I meant either. Just look at the first message of the topic for an example. You need to explain why you like/dislike them.

I did this for 64, so I'll do it for Sunshine too.
7. Gelato Beach
While not a bad course, it doesn't have anything too great going on. Sure, the Wiggler fight is fun, but none of the other shines are that good. Not only does this course have the easiest seret stage, but also has two kinda bad shines. (*cough cough Sand Bird and Watermelon festival HACK COUGH*)
6. Noki Bay
Noki Bay is very vertical. That means if you fall down at the very top, you have to trek ALL THE WAY BACK UP. In addition, in later episodes there are these fists that launch you back down. That's just sucky. And 2 of the episodes make you use an edited underwater control scheme, but using it it's really hard to turn. Noki Bay in general I think has its Cons outweigh the Pros.
5. Bianco Hills
While it doesn't have any really great shines, it doesn't have any really bad shines either. It's just pretty decent.
4. Pinna Park
This is a pretty fun course. The first episode is a boss fight against Mecha-Bowser on a rollercoaster. Once you figure out what to actually do, it's really fun. Though the rest of the episodes are just kinda below average. Plus, episode 5 is really aggrivating. Seriously, that took me more tries than Pachinko.
3. Pianta Village
This is a slab of dirt over an endless chasm. Despite how bad that sounds, the course is actually pretty neat. The Goop Inferno is kinda cool, since using the water from the river you can make it to FLUDD without going to the underside. There's also multiple Piantas that you can talk to that have interesting dialogue. Including chucksters. *Gets thrown into the void*
2. Sirena Beach
Sunshine manages to turn the confines of a hotel into a fun, puzzle-solving adventure. While episodes 1 and 6 are kind of bad, the rest of the episodes are really good. The first special stage is fun, exploring the hotel is fun, the casino is fun, and King Boo is fun.
1. Ricco Harbor
This stage...is amazing. The main great thing about the stage is the options. Every episode, you can take a different path to get to the same area. In addition, while this level is kinda vertical, at least the game gives you the Rocket Nozzle on the main path. The stage also has probably the most well-known secret box in the game, being the spinny things, otherwise known as the twirly whirlies of doom. This stage also also has Blooper Surfing. While episode 2 is really fun, Red Coins on the Water is slightly dumb, mainly because of the jump you have to make at the end to get the shine, but other than that every episode is really solid. And the Music is arguably the best in the game, taking the theme from Gelato Beach, Bianco Hills, and Delfino Plaza and turning it jazzy. As someone who loves jazz, makes the area even better.
How would you rank the stages?
