Nudge: (Vlogging) So we finally made it out here, guys. I don't know what the fuck we were thinking or what shit we signed up for, but right now this place is absolute heaven.
Osc: (Also vlogging) Yeah, this place is so cool it makes me wanna fucking explode! You have Dark doing God knows what (probably scrolling through some lousy TikTok feed), Lely chilling and listening to some K-poop (yes Lely, K-pop IS shit, there's no two ways about it) and Watermelon just hogging the fruit bowl as usual-
Watermelon: Oi! Can you two tone it down a little, Ruri was just falling asleep and you woke her up!
Ruri: (Grumpily and lethargically) Yeah, I'm so tired... (She instantly falls back asleep while Watermelon brandishes their long hair and pulls up the hood of their hoodie shortly after, all while fixing their Melon Nunchuku)
Nudge: (Rolling his eyes at Watermelon) Anyway, that's all folks, me and Oscy-woscy are out. (Turns off camcorder)
Ouchy: Uhm guys, this is just Watermelon's house, I don't understand why you're treating it like we're in some video game fantasy land-

Croassung: Uhm, sure I guess... (Croassung picks up a controller and sits on the couch, thumbs on the joysticks)
Waluigor: (Coming downstairs) Oh nice, MKPC Battle! I love this game!
Dietsoda: Well I don't see anything malicious about pixel folk beating each other up on a crystalline display... I'm in. (She picks up a controller too)
SS: Why don't we all have a game? It'd be a whole lot more fun than just a couple of us battling. (Everyone agrees with StarSplizz and picks up a controller)
Watermelon: (Presses start) Whoa, look at all these Fighters- wait a second, these guys look like us... Why don't we pick the fighters that look the most like us? (Everyone agrees with Watermelon's idea and selects their Fighters, yet it was unbeknownst to them all of what was waiting for them beyond the Character Select Screen)
Nudge: My character is literally called 'Nudge'... (Everyone slowly starts to realize that the Fighters not only look familiar, but share the same names, with the only exceptions being Watermelon and Waluigor, whose respective Fighters are named after their aliases)
Ruri: So are we gonna start now?
As soon as Ruri said that, everyone pressed the Start button on their controllers... simultaneously a loud bang erupted from the console's speakers, throwing everyone off the couch, even knocking the couch over which sends it flying into the table. People grasped onto anything they could to avoid being blown away any further, but to no avail. Mysteriously, the bang stopped and reversed, like a broken monitor closing all the open tabs and windows in rapid succession. Everyone was being pulled towards the monitor and fell through it... only to fall in some completely uncharted land. What happened? Why did the 'game' suddenly become corrupted? Where even is anyone? It's not canceled, however due to narcolepsy (basically I keep falling asleep randomly) and procrastination the release date for the first episode may be set back a couple days, apologies for the inconvenience

UPDATE: I was midway through writing Dietsoda's prologue yesterday and my computer ran out of charge so all my progress was reset. Also, given the nature of the fanfic and the theming of it, I decided to get straight into episodes rather than writing a bunch of prologues when there's not much room for character development anyway.

Yes, I have finally decided to make another fanfic. The plot is that MKPC members are forced to battle each other in a tournament to become a prestiged 'Battlemaster'. At the end of three days (roughly translating to two or three episodes) the results of all the existing fighters are rounded up and the fighter in last place is eliminated (basically this world's equivalent of a death). Each episode is split into two parts: character development and lore; and fighting.
