In their defense, PS5 controllers also drift. It's just plastic being crappy.
I just realized, Xbox controllers have drift too, It's just less common.

Hopefully with Switch 2 that'll change.
In my more personal point of view, I'd switch PlayStation and Switch, I have two PS5 controllers and both had drift in less than a year, we even put one to get fixed and it already drifts again, while my first Switch Joy-Con took around 3 years to drift and the Joy-Cons I use now (the ones from OLED) still work, I have been using those for almost 4 years
I would argue the opposite. I have around 6 joy cons, all of which drift, whereas my ps5 controllers don't.
I argue that my current joy cons don’t drift and my current PS5 controllers also don’t drift. I’ve just been blessed
