Also there is a problem with red shells. They move wayyyy to slow! I can almost out run them! Also on one of the rainbow roads when you do super fast off some jumps and you use a red shell you hit yourself! Not the most fun experience ever. 
The truth is, the game doesn't expect you to continuously drift boost. Believe me, I had a race where I played as Luigi, saw a red shell coming on lap 1, constantly drifted throughout the whole match and the shell never hit me.
Perhaps that is intentional

Bombs do that to. It was coded that whatever arrow pressed the reversed would happen.

Speaking of bombs, sometimes when you leave a bomb, it duplicates, one explodes and the other explodes only if someone passes over it

i kind of wish there was a way ti dodge the blue shells like you can do in the canon games

i personally like the blue shell because it gives you a chance to get back in the race/battle

I've only seen stuff like that online and thats most likely because of lag.
This can happen with all items that can be equipped (such as bananas and shells). I've noticed that when the lag affects shells, the extra shell does not move at all.
Yeah i find it very strange. There was some times i would get screwed over because of random duplicate lag items and there were other times where the lag placed millions of shells all over the track
Sometimes the lag affects my items, with the items in the same path that I took, and my opponents accuse me of cheating/hacking, when it is just lag.
Yeah I got annoyed of people calling me a hacker and a cheater so I just stopped playing online

Also, when the blue shell is lunched, it targets the person who was in first place regaurdless of change of position before the hit Imagine the blue shell just going back an forth for someone because it was like that. But yeah that is annoying because one time I got blue shelled and then another one got me when I was in 6th and then all the AIs ran me over. Yeah it should be fixed.

I think it's a nice hidden mechanic. The game expects people to be holding forward, so the blue shell sends them opposite to the direction inputted.

Hi guys. Just wanted to say that (since I'm in school) I won't be online for a LONG while. I might pop up occasionally, but for the most part, the school year is almost over and I may not be online for a LONG while. So, please don't freak out. I'm still going to be here.
