Well, There was a Time where I Won the Last SNES Grand Prix, but I Bumped Quit Instead of Next. So I didn't Unlock Link.
Well. That's really unfortunate.
Yeah. After that, I Knew it was Possible to Unlock Link, So I Kept Trying. And to this Day. I Still Can't Get Him. The Reason is the CPUs Taking Too Many Shortcuts, The Ability to Not Avoid Blue Shells, Too Small of a Track in GV3 and RBR, CPUs Taking More Shortcuts than You, and CPUs Getting More Powerful Items in 1st-8th even Though You don't Get them.
I have the same result but I need four more characters to unlock.
Also it is possible to avoid getting hit by a blue shell with a mushroom if you perfectly timed it. (Stars and Bullet Bills also help but you will get those if you are falling behind.)
