I know this might seem like I'm advertising my multicups, and while you could say that, this is more like a guide to help have the best experience when playing them. I will also list my favorite and least favorite course with each entry.
8. Mario Kart COMPLETE: Consoles Collide.
First off, the name is stupid. What was I thinking when I created that title? While most of my tracks at the time were based off of normal Mario Kart tracks, this time, ALL 12 TRACKS were based off of courses from Double Dash and Super Circuit. How did I do? Terrible. A lot of the tracks are narrow as heck, and have little-to-no decor.
Favorite Track: Riverside Park
Worst Track: I can't decide. They're all really bad.
7. Mario Kart COMPLETE
Like with CC, the tracks were fairly boring, and since it was my first complete mode multicup, I didn't extend the checkpoints very far, and there was nothing to keep you from skipping those checkpoints. All the music was used from Super Mario Kart, which made it feel even more bland. And to top it off, most of the courses were just squares with split paths sometimes.
Favorite Course: Yoshi's Island
Worst Course: Super Nintendo Entertainment System
6. Mario Kart Complete Wii
All of the Nitro tracks were horrible and underwhelming, and even though I included 12 tracks from the past four games, they all got no improvements, or were made even worse. However, a couple tracks that save this from being the absolute worst are Boo's Boneyard, Hot Dry Ruins, Maple Treeway, Funky Stadium, and the hilarious Desert Bus. Good retro courses included Yoshi's Island, Rainbow Road from MKC64, and Mushroom Highlands.
Favorite Course: Funky Stadium
Worst Course: Lakitu's Cloud World
5. Mario Kart Complete DS
This is somehow the highest-rated entry in the series. Most of the tracks didn't suck this time, and I can actually say a lot of good things about it. The Rainbow Road is great, and Yoshi Lake is a creative course inspired by a campground. Bob-Omb Battlefield is a little on the bland side, but it isn't too bad.
Favorite Course: Yoshi Lake
Worst Course: Cool, Cool Mountain
4. New Mario Kart Complete
This is when I decided to reboot the series, and I think it paid off. There are a whopping 40 tracks. 20 of them are new, 16 are from Double Dash, and the other 4 are Mario Kart DS beta courses. The courses are fun and challenging, and while they could look better, I bet you'll still like them on your first play at least.
Favorite Course: Bullet Bill Stadium
Worst Course: Club LIAP
3. Mario Kart COMPLETE 64
Though there are only 12 tracks, most of them are really fun. The Rainbow Road there is still my favorite of all 8 I made. The only flaw is that most of the courses are just circles, but they still have their own personalities.
Favorite Course: Rainbow Road
Worst Course: N64 Controller
2. New Mario Kart Complete: Super Dash
We're getting to the really good ones. This is my latest multicup, and one of the best. The tracks are fun and unique in their own way, and some even have alternate paths full of speed boosts. Highlights include Double Cherry Pass, Iggy's Chain Chomp Stadium, and a Rainbow Road mixed with Sky Garden.
Favorite Course: Double Cherry Pass
Worst Course: Honeyhive Galaxy
1. New Mario Kart Complete Pro
By far the best multicup I've made. All of the tracks have fun layouts, the game has a killer soundtrack, and there's even a remake of GBA Rainbow Road. I can't even think of a favorite, so here are some highlights: Giant Land, Enchanted Forest, Luigi Circuit, Bowser's Castle 1, Wendy's Island, and Sherbet Lake. The only bad course is Lemmy's Ball Factory, which is the definition of expectations vs reality.
