It just hits different when you play any of the Mario games from the 1990's and 2000's, it's so damn nostalgic which just shows how much the franchise has actually evolved, the franchise survived 3 generations of gamers which is crazy when you actually think about it

Thank you, Nintendo, for Mariokart DS! It was what introduced me to Mariokart. That, and a retro game emulator that was on my dad's old phone that introduced me to Super Mario Kart. The old games just hit different.
