Future Game Update; Elevated ground.

I've been thinking a bit about map creation, and while I know the focus of the game is to emulate the GBA/SNES Mario Kart era, I can't help but wonder; Would it be possible to add elevated ground to the game?
My idea for how it would work is as follow; When you want to add a slope, the track editor would let you place one adjustable square down, then another larger square around it.
The small square would be the even ground atop the slope, and the area between the two squares the slope itself. Then, you would input a height value to decide how tall it reaches. The map would then stretch to match your specified adjustments.
I hope the idea makes sense! How possible do you guys think this is?

just use per-checkpoint overrides so it always looks like you are driving on the correct part and you can make the collision set for the correct part of the track.
