How do I Reverse Drift?

Almost every time I play online mode, I see players do this other type of drift, so I wanna know how to "Reverse Drift", because I'm pretty sure that is what they are doing.

first, go backward. while going backward, hold whatever button you mapped the Jump/Drift command to. when the smoke turns Blue or Yellow, stop holding. now you reverse drifted!
