The Quick Mode Editor is complete garbage, I'm sorry. I get the game has a higher emphasis on the Complete Mode tracks, but I prefer to use the Quick Mode and thus, have been miserable for decades. Here are 10 Ways to improve the Quick Mode editor.

1. Increase the max track size from 6x6 to 8x8.
2. Allow for section-based courses.
3. Make every decoration from every track accessible regardless of the track theme. For example, Chain Chomps are usable in the Koopa Beach theme.
4. Allow for custom decor.
5. Improve the checkpoint system or allow us to place our own custom checkpoints.
6. Let cannons, mobile floors, and teleporters be usable in the quick mode editor.
7. Allow for diagonal tiles.
8. Allow for custom music and SFX.
9. Add the missing themes such as Broken Pier.
10. Allow for a multicup to consist of both cups with circuits and arenas.

This is Brilliant! If this was a Circuit/Arena. I would Rate it 5/5!

3. Idk

4.?????

5. No??

6. the goal of quick mode is to make a circuit easily quickly I think huh? otherwise you can always try the complete mode

7. Um...

8. Complete mode

9. Can be possible (I think)

then don't fucking use it, it's not an alternative for making tracks, just a heavily simplified version

miserable for decades? but the game didn't exist until 2010...

btw
1. why? the tracks are already big enough
2. *completes entire track in 10 seconds*
3. use complete mode
4. use complete mode
5. don't trust everyone to place good checkpoints
6. this might actually be good on some track themes like parts of Bowser's Castle
7. how exactly would that work?
8. use complete mode
9. a couple of people have fanmade Vanilla Lake 2 tiles so it could happen, but the other tiles are too similar to another track piece so it would be pretty much useless
10. good idea, but battle cups use a different URL ["battle.php" as opposed to "map.php"] so I'm not sure how that would work

Well Quick Mode is supposed to be literally QUICK. You create a track in "a few clicks". It's not supposed to be complicated or mindblowwing, hence requiring more creativity to be good.
