[Fanfic] Super Mario: Into the Cupverse

Episode 1:

We start our tale in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Mario: C’mon Luigi! Yes, the princess invited you this time!
Luigi: Good!
Mario: Don’t be a grouch, Luigi.
Luigi: Look Mario! A Pipe!
Mario: A Pipe! Where to?
Luigi: I Don’t know
Mario: Well, let’s jump in!
Luigi: Mario. I’m not to Shure!
Mario did not listen to his brother and jumped in anyway, when something strange happened. Luigi was being sucked in too and so were some of the Toads and everyone else!
Luigi: MARIO!



Mario landed on a wired black ground.
Mario: Underground world?
But it wasn’t!
???: Well, hello there!
Mario: Who are you?!
???: Well, let’s put this into song shall we! I’m Mr. King Dice. I’m the gamest in the land! I never play nice. I’m the……... Never mind!
Mario: Well, Mr. King Dice! Where am I?
King Dice: Welcome to Inkwell Heck! Why not hop by the casino and try your luck!
Mario: HECK!? A CASINO!? I HATE CASINOS!!!
King Dice: Come on! It’ll be fun!
Mario: No! I’m gonna get outa here!
King Dice: Good Lu- and you found the door.

Now Mario has entered Inkwell Isle 3

Mario: What is this place?
???: Ludwig! How many times do I have to tell you! More! is More!
Ludwig: I disagree strongly!
Mario: Who are you?
Ludwig: I’m glad you asked! I’m Ludwig the Nineteenth! And this deer fellow is Wolfgang, and he has awful views on music!
Wolfgang: Come on Ludwig! You can’t make a good tune with just piano! You need drums, guitars, trumpets!
Ludwig: Wolfgang, you know I’m right!
Wolfgang: *sigh* You will never learn
Ludwig: Here deer fellow, listen to my masterpiece!
Wolfgang: You think that’s a masterpiece. Ha! I can make one better; in fact, I have!
Mario: I agree with Wolfgang, you do need more than one instrument
Ludwig: No one can appreciate art!
???: Wait! Ludwig’s alive!?
????: I can’t believe it!
Ludwig: Oh, Cuphead… Mugman… yes hello, he he? So.. nise t-to-to see you a-a-a-a-again, goodbye now!
Mario: That was weird, who are you two
????: Well, I’m Cuphead and my pal Mugman. We liked to roll the dice. By chance we came upon Devil’s game and gosh we paid the price. We had fought for out lives in a mission filled with dread. But we burned contracts and went back, aaaaaaand! We had a happy end!
Mario: The Devil isn’t real!
Mugman: Considering how long he has been gone you’d think that
Mario: So, you’re cups with bodies?
Cuphead: Yup!
Mario: I hope you don’t mind but I need to take a pipe home
Mugman: What?
Cuphead: Oh! I read about warp pipes! I have a book about them back at the cottage! I can take you there! But It’s a long walk. All the way back at Isle 1!
Mario: Well, it’ll be worth it if I can get back home
Cuphead: Okay! Let’s go!
