Today (I learned a few days ago) a technique on paint.net. In my previous creations I only used the colored dots to color the tracks but now together with the dots with the solid color it gives more life to the track and looks like a texture.
This is definitely the strategy that all of the pros at making tracks like like @hoppingicon and others use

I hate Switch home menu for 3 reasons:

And Silksong, potentially. Not that that game is real, of course.
Also, they're 100% gonna end this direct with some kind of highlight reel of all the major releases & how well they've done for Switch 1, and maybe if they're doing a new direct logo for Switch 2 they'll show that after? It remains to be seen.
