So Nintendo decided they thought it was a good idea to make a series called the Mario Galaxy series, and that's why Mario Galaxy exists.

Look at the Mario Movie world map, our kingdom was the largest out of all of them. And we had to go through the SMB levels in order to cross. I mean, going through Rainbow Road would be easy, but the path got broken by Koopa General.
