Basically, this topic is about, well, looking into the MKPC files (more specifically the Github) and unearth unused content Wargor's been hiding for years!
Never-used-before Haloween BG:
Icon presumably used for something challenge-related:
Halo of unknown purpose:
Unused winter BG (upcoming???)

Wait isn't that "halo" in the normal main page background? Like the reflection the sun makes on camera lenses.

I remember someone (most likely xrunner) saying that there were QM-like tiles that went split direction, but instead of a crossroad, it went 3 ways
here are a few of them btw
I think the reason beind these never being used is because it would have been too complicated to even make it work
(also there isn't a single DS-themed three-way crossroad I could find, which is probably another reason it was never showcased in-game)
here are a few of them btw
GBA Peach/Mario Circuit
GBA Cheep Cheep Beach
SNES Mario Circuit
GBA Sunset Wilds (it doesnt really work tho...)
SNES Rainbow Road (same case as Sunset Wilds. in fact, a lot that arent't shown didnt really make it work in the artsy way)

Yes I can confirm these are indeed a thing in the game's images. I wish that was an in-game feature
Also the halo is the image when you trick, but it's shown with a reduced opacity I think, which is why you probably didn't recognize the image

Interesting !
Btw the winter banner was used like 8 years ago
As Anthcny said, the halo appears when you do a trick/stunt

BTW, i found this other Tick-Tock Clock map that's more faithful to the OG (scrapped update leak???)

There's apparently an early version of the podium stand, bigger than the one we eventually got!

Isn't This Literally Just the MKDS Map(s)
I Highly Doubt This Was for an Update, It Was Probably Some Random Image That Wasn't Removed
