I don't think they will add this into the main game but I absolutely love this idea. It would be a cool thing to have as an option for online racing

I think it's quite a solid idea actually, it doesn't even have to show the items if you don't want it to
However if it does get in-game (which it probably won't), I definitely wouldn't want it to be the new default for online, but rather as an extra option, like how "Disable Kart Bumps" is an option. It would be cool
