Welcome! Daisy is the best character to use, as handling is the most important stat and Daisy has the best handling. Due to that handling stat, Daisy is also the character to use for snaking or the game's main strategy, reverse drifting. RDing can be tricky to learn, but I'll post a video that might help you:

If it is what i think it is, then we just call it drifting, or more commonly, manual, because that's what it was called in Mariokart WII, and I still think that that is one of the best games in the world.

No, reverse drifting is a technique used on MKPC. I don't know the details of how to do it, I've never done it myself, but Daisy is the best character for it. Hopefully this video can help you:
