Topic title says it all cuz you say how you discovered this website. I found it bc my irl friend told me to play it with him and then I made my account a few days later.

I basically found it while I just searched Mario Kart for PCs. And then I found this. So, I'm a user here now!

I was making a Minecraft Mario Kart map and I wanted to make Peach Gardens, and by looking for the minimap, when I clicked on the image it directly brought me here. At first I thought it was a stupid game until I discovered a whole new world: the game, the forum, the discord server, the lounge.

In 2025,especifically june, i was searching "mario kart maker" on YouTube, and i saw a video that said "Mario Kart Maker is real!" I clicked on it, and it talked about this website,i was amazed, a couple of days later, i searched it up on goggle, and made my first track:Bowsers Castle, here's the video:

I found out about it a long time ago, like 2018-2019, and forgot about it. Then in 2024, I remembered that video and I wanted to check out the site.

Around a year ago, I was looking for some way to play Super Mario Kart online on my computer, and searched up "super mario kart online" (I didn't know much about emulators back then) and this was one of the top results. I thought it looked interesting, and then... I think you can fill in the blanks from there.

Back in the day it showed up a lot if you searched things like “play Mario Kart online” or “Mario Kart browser game”. A lot of people also found it through YouTube videos or friends sharing the link.
There's not really some big origin story for most players. They just stumbled onto the site and stayed because the track editor and custom content are good enough to keep people around.

I was just on YouTube watching Mario Kart videos then I scrolled across a video about Mario Kart PC, but I thought it was just an idea (I forgot the word), but later I was bored out of my mind (Like every other time) and searched up "Mario Kart for PC free" then I saw this, it looked cool so I played, but never made my account until December 16th, 2023, that's how I'm here to this day! :P

So in November 2025, I got really into Mario Kart, and then it got to the point where I wanted to make my own tracks. So I searched up stuff along the lines of "Mario Kart Track Builder". The site always popped up, but I never clicked on the site because I thought it wouldn't have a track builder. Fast forward to January 2026. I've looked at the same Mario Kart Track designer sites 100 times already, and I can't download them because I have a Chromebook and I have no idea how to run Linux. So then MKPC popped up once again, and then I finally clicked on it, and joined the site.

I goole "Mariokart Maker" to find some cool youtube videos on what a Mariokart maker could look like so I could judge some content creators on how unrealistic their ideas would be (why do they legit think that Nintendo should and could add Wonder Events to Mario Maker 3?), and the top result was the Quick mode track builder, and I fell in love with it. I immedietly started work on my first Multicup which you can check out along with my other Multicup out on my Profile. I then eventually beat all the Grand Prixs, did some Complete mode tracks which you can also check out, and just popped in every once in a while since then.

You're gonna call me stupid, but I was making a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe board game. I would google the mini-maps and look for a good one. The "good ones" were always from this one random website "MKPC." At the time I thought it was some kind of Mario Kart wiki, so I clicked on the link to see what it was.
And was shocked to see it was a game.
At first I thought it was stupid; if you didn't know, the mobile controls are lowkey terrible. But I found all the other stuff (forum, online, etc) and decided "Never mind, this is awesome!"

Saw a YouTube video containing it and later searched it and started making tracks

I saw somebody showcase every MKWorld track being modded onto various Mario Kart games, and they shown Dry Bones Burnout on MKPC. I went on the website, then heard you could do 100 player races, and was immediately hooked.
