I am autistic. you are free to ask about my expeiriances as an autistic teen.

Autism is technicaly a disability, but I prefer to call it a difference. My brain functions different, but I still can funtion as a person. Autism is a genetic trait that I got from my dad. IT DOES NOT COME FROM VACCINES! If you are autistic too, you are welcome to say it. It is your choice how open you are about it.

As a fellow autistic kid, I'm happy to find somebody who knows it doesn't come from vaccines. And you're absolutely right about it not being a disability. It had barely affected me at all, and I even forgot I had it for a few years of my life. I'm also very glad you're willing to be open about it.

While waiting for their response I'll give you mine:
I've had differing opinions about it from others over the years. When I was first diagnosed a lot of my classmates didn't really mind, and they really wanted to know more about it. Considering I was still trying to figure myself out at the time and what this said about me I couldn't answer but still.

Moving up into secondary school is a different story though. I was bullied and harassed for it, or rather the results of it. Social awkwardness and my lack of emotional intelligence being the main ones, but they also took advantage of the academic intelligence that came from it. In trying to find friends I single-handedly carried half of my year group in maths, while it heavily wore me down I didn't really care.

Thankfully that's changed, and I'm glad that some people I know have had changes of heart over how they feel about the condition, and some of the stereotypes such as us being dumb, because of their experiences with me.

To respond to question 1, my 2 Irl friends see me as a cool guy to hang around. My online friends and I usualy just chat. They do not harrass me about me being autistic. My sister however, harrasses me to get me into a sensory overload. You do not need to change anything about yourself if you do not want to.

I may not be able to be on this site over the weekend so I will answer questions asked over the weekend on monday. Today and friday are still cool though.

I can tolerate her sometimes, but it is very hard.

Man, I feel bad, but you know that everyone is unique. And, besides, you can still catch up to everyone. Disability is just something that makes ya different from others, but look up to yourself.
You'll later know why.
