I was looking at my time trial records to see where I went wrong and how I could improve, and I noticed something strange in one of my records.
I'm talking about my record on the DS Rainbow Road, and I saw that on the third lap, I did a trick at the start of the cannon.
I'd never seen that before (except with TAS), and I'm asking anyone who wants to look at my record to tell me how it works, because I'm really bad with video game codes.
My record is number fifty (it may go up to fifty-one or fifty-two if people beat me), so it's not hard to find.

Just saw this, and from what I see, it doesn't help you. It seems to be a sort of visual bug that happens not that often when pressing drift while entering a cannon. In the end, while normally a trick gives you a boost when you land, the trick doesn't seem to affect your speed. As a matter of fact, on the lap where you performed the trick, your speed in the cannon spiked merely to 199mph as opposed to the 200+mph you can reach in the last milliseconds of a cannon. Good find though, the same thing happened to me once on a custom track and I thought the same thing. Maybe there is an implication, but I don't think it was expressed in your ghost.
