The very young start
The first ever Mario kart game I got was Mario kart wii when I was 5. I instantly fell in love with the game. For some reason I remember having a computer like I have right now back then. Somehow I knew how to use youtube, so I tryed searching up mario kart wii shortcuts on youtube. M y first ultra shortcut I ever did was the mushroom gorge one at the age of 5. A year later, I was able to do the coconut mall one (Not the one where you clip into a invisible wall or smth, but the easier one where you go into the mall and drive off in a certain direction) By 7, I could easily beat my older brother. It was one of the only few games that I could actually beat him in. However around when I was 8, we moved somewhere else in the USA, and during that ride there somehow the wii broke down, and ever since then we were never able to use it. And my dreams of becoming a famous Mario kart player were over.

Summonning Salt
A bit before we moved out, I got a DS with a cartridge with over 200 games on it. And it had Mario kart DS on it. However, it didn't really have the same feel as Mario kart Wii did (probably because it was a older game) and then I started playing more retro RPG games on the sega we had, like shining force and phantasy star 4. After a few years though, 9 months after I started my youtube channel, I made a account on here, however I never really used it. But then when I was 11 on August 6th 2024, I got a new recommendation into my YouTube page called "The History of the Mario Kart DS World Champion" By Summoning Salt. I watched the entire hour of the video, and at the time, it was one of the best YouTube videos I had ever seen. This completely revived my joy in Mario Kart, and gave me a new joy that I did have before, but never realized until now. Speedrunning. As I said before, I had Mario kart ds. So I was excited to see that there was competitive gamers out there. Summoning Salt mentioned a "Mario Kart DS Time Trial Page" so I searched it up on YouTube. I found a different video from someone else I don't really remember. It did have a link to the super Mario kart time trials page though. So I checked that out and a few clicks later, I found the Mario Kart DS website.

New games, New rivals.
When I joined the Mario Kart DS website, I was pretty bad. Like not even top 1000 bad. But I improved a lot and then a few days later, a guy named Norwegian Divorcer was welcoming me to the game. I think he was around top 500 at the time. At the moment, I beat none of his times, but slowly I broke through a few of them. On Yoshi falls, I had beat him, then he beat me back, then I beat him back. We were kind of like friendly rivals. I wasn't really a rival overall, but there was a few tracks I was able to beat him in. Like Yoshi Falls flap and Peach Circuit flap. By the time I was 12, I was around the top 700. However I had a few problems. One of them was that It was hard for me to upload videos of my times during the time. And two, whenever I played for a while, it hurt my hand a lot. I did not know that everybody like me had this problem. And then some even more bad news came. The R button to my DS broke, and that was very bad because that was the drift button. It could still work, but sometimes I had to jam on it a bit, or hit the key hard every time I had to drift. You drift a LOT more on Mario Kart DS than on Mario Kart PC. However only five months had passed and I had started to get bored of the game already. By January of 2025, my progress had slowed down a lot and so had Norwegian Divorcers. I was at around the top 600 or 500, or smth idk. And then Norwegian was around the top 200 or 300, I can't remember... So I kind of quit the game.
 
The 3rd attempt
Right when I quit, I was playing bloxd io as usuall at the time, but then I rediscovered this website, and the account I made in November 2023. I played on this one numbers cup make by Maximum, kinda around when he joined. At first I was kinda beating him in a few tracks, but then new people started to join the race in this mutlicup. People including ImJustLimey, and Zooya. And once they joined, Maximum seemed to get a whole lot better. So then the 3 of them beat all of my times in the multicup, and then I kinda stopped. But this time was different.  I didn't stop because I wanted too. The truth is, (Its a little embarrassing) but I got grounded off my computer for almost a whole year. Not sure if I've told many people that but I'm addressing it now. However in december of 2025, I went back to bloxd io and forgot about the website AGAIN. but this time me forgetting wasnt so long. I found this website FOR A 3RD TIME, after a week. So I started to consider something. At this time, I was around the low 800s in subscribers (I'm still around the 800s but its the mid 800s now.) And I posted a lot of Bloxd Io content. However, my computer was pretty bad. like REALLY bad. I had always had lag in bloxd before, but now it was so much different. I was constantly getting frames of down to 5 fps, ON COMPLETELY FLAT WORLDS WITH NO ONE THERE EXCEPT ME!! The lag had frustrated me so much. However on Mario Kart PC, I could still play on about my normal fps of 30. So I had to make a decision of whether to quit bloxd, and go join the Mario Kart PC community, or continue dealing with the lag. And after some long thinking, I made the decision to quit bloxd and join the Mario Kart PC Community. At this time in December of 2025, I was 13. So for the 3rd time, I had made it my goal to become a famous mario kart player.
The Best Mario Kart PC Start
When I joined the Mario Kart PC scene, I was doing snaking. Snaking is the easiest method to learn. Its slower than RD, but it was what I was comfortable with at the time. I was able to to RD back in January 2025, but I forgot how after 11 months of no Mario Kart PC. And Instantly I started to get pretty good. But I knew it wasn't enough. So Mapno, a very good player, had helped me learn rd, by giving me tips, and maps to help learn the skills I needed to learn. And pretty soon, Reverse drifting became my best method. I had gotten so good that by late January, I had gotten my first world record on 200cc vanilla lake 2. The world record I beat was by zooya, one of the same people I was struggling to beat against in the numbers multicup by maximum. Me and zooya had a race to become the first to get sub 16 on that track. But then Neptunogamer joined the race. Eventually though Zooya won, with me coming in second. Eventually though in march, I tied it. By the 6th of march, I reached the top 15, and by the 19th of march I reached top 10. For the first time ever, I saw myself on the leaderboard in the home page. And then I started a slow but long grind. By may, I got to 420 points on the leaderboard, by June, I got to 8th place, then 7th place that same month. In september I breached the 6th and 5th spots, and got to 435 points. And then in october I got to 440 points. My highest point yet.
