Pilotwings 64 for Nintendo Switch Online/Pilotwings 64 pour le Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo announced the 1996/97 game Pilotwings 64 would be making its debut on the Switch Online + Expansion Pack service a few days ago, and it seems this will be the best version of the game yet.

GameXplain has taken a closer look at the footage shown in the trailers, and it appears the gameplay will be targeting 60fps. In the original version of the game, it's highlighted how it was only the menus that ran at 60fps while gameplay was around 30fps. This latest re-release will also feature a higher resolution.
Apart from GameXplain's footage, Nintendo's Japanese YouTube channel also shared around 2 minutes and 30 seconds of direct gameplay footage of the NSO version of Pilotwings in action (without that smooth voice). Here it is in action:

The only notable "side effect" GameXplain spotted was the way the timer functions - it's always counted the milliseconds a bit odd, but it's now more noticeable with the game running at a higher frame rate. You can check out GE's latest graphics comparison video on its YouTube Channel.

Nintendo a annoncé il y a quelques jours que le jeu 1996/97 Pilotwings 64 ferait ses débuts sur le service Switch Online + Expansion Pack, et il semble que ce sera la meilleure version du jeu à ce jour.

GameXplain a examiné de plus près les images présentées dans les bandes-annonces et il semble que le gameplay ciblera 60 images par seconde. Dans la version originale du jeu, il est souligné que seuls les menus fonctionnaient à 60 ips alors que le gameplay était d'environ 30 ips. Cette dernière réédition comportera également une résolution plus élevée.
Outre les images de GameXplain, la chaîne YouTube japonaise de Nintendo a également partagé environ 2 minutes et 30 secondes d'images de gameplay directes de la version NSO de Pilotwings en action (sans cette voix douce). Le voici en action :

Le seul "effet secondaire" notable que GameXplain a repéré était le fonctionnement de la minuterie - il compte toujours les millisecondes un peu bizarrement, mais il est maintenant plus perceptible avec le jeu fonctionnant à une fréquence d'images plus élevée. NotThatKrazey Without going into too much detail, I'll just say there was a very good reason that Splatoon 2's Final Fest wasn't Pearl vs Marina. Asking Nintendo fans who best girl is leads to a ton of doxxing, slurs & infinite war between the people on our planet.

NotThatKrazey I mean, nothing super terrible has come from any groups recently, minus a certain Splatoon Splatfest a few years ago, but they are annoying & a bit spoilt. Also Dolphin is free & probably runs better than your actual Wii/Gamecube. You'd have to buy a controller for controller support, but yeah. As long as you already own the games yourself.

NotThatKrazey Do you remember the whole FreeMelee thing? Stuff like that. Problems with how Nintendo shut down Melee online hacks & then launched it on Switches crappy NSO, a bajillion cancel Nintrndo videos taking up your Youtube reccomendations for a year minimum, stuff like that.

NotThatKrazey He ain't toxic, but I've been arguing with a SPM fan for a few days that TOK wasn't garbage. It's been like 3 days & then he said the "No EXP, no partners" thing & I immediately remrmbered why I stopped playing those games. They are fun tho. Maybe they just skip TTYD & call it a day when they do.

The games are great, but, Nintendo wouldn't add Melee. That would cause some....problems.
