It is the rounding method.

Basically, you make a quick mode track, and go to the URL. Then, you look for the following: &nl=3

Change that to &nl=9.5, and then share the track.

The 9.5 will round to 10, and there you have it, 10 laps!

5/5, now make one of these courses 10 laps using my rounding method

Don't be depressed, just set nl=9.5 and it will round to 10! Let this be 10 laps once more

when you share any lap number less than 1 or at least 10, it defaults to 3.

However, set the lap number to 9.5, share it, and it rounds to 10 laps

I used this on my track https://mkpc.malahieude.net/circuit.php?id=109015 and successfully created a 10 lap track

this track should have 10 laps on the lap counter, see if it does

I mean this track did take actual effort, because using the glitch and glitching a mario circuit battle defaults differently, so this guy had to intentionally build a square

It still sorta works though, if you try to cut the lake, get blocked by the invisible wall, respawn and then drive backwards to the hill and use the hill to leap over the stony wall then it counts and saves about 2 seconds

fun tip: you can miniturbo into a hop over the lake and just skip the whole ass lake, saving like 10 seconds lmao
