CPUs are cheating

I'd say turn down the rubberbanding a bit on MKPC's CPU's.
Who your Favorite Koopaling
On 2020-07-14 at 11:01:11
Iggy has to be my favorite, just by the way he looks alone. His funny glasses, his pineapple-like hair, and crazy and questionable personality has my money on him for my favorite koopaling.
New Challenge Ideas
On 2020-07-20 at 17:23:50
Well, I've made a list of challenges in this one reply, as well as pulling some from Mario Kart Tour & Mario Kart DS's mission mode. Maybe one day they could be added to MKPC. Who knows?
Missions/Challenges
- Driving Through Numbered Gates/Rings [DS/MKT]
You'll be able to place gates/rings around the track and drive for one lap, trying to pass through as many as they can. Due to the nature of MKT's auto-accelerate gameplay, the maker can set a time limit, or the player can gain small amounts of time with each ring they pass. Challenge is completed when they pass all the gates/rings.
- Breaking Item Boxes [DS]
You can place item boxes around the track and set a time limit. Break a set number to win! You can also set what kinds of items come out the box. For example, you can set mushrooms to take a shortcut to be able to break some more item boxes.
- Perform a certain amount of mini-turbos/tricks [DS]
You'll be able to set the amount of mini-turbos and/or tricks you'll have to you. It's up to you to set a time limit and number of laps they have to do to pass the challenge.
- Finish the race before the other [DS]
You'll be able to choose a character for the player to race against. You could set specific items to item boxes or let the CPU get a bit of a headstart.
- Enemey Takedown [DS/MKT]
You can set enemies for the player to takedown around the track. You can set item boxes and the contents inside them.
- Avoid the obstacles [MKT]
Like MKT, you start off with three balloons. You get to set the obstacles around the track and the player needs to avoid them the best they can. When they complete a set number of laps, they have to have a certain amount of balloons left to pass the challenge.

The fact that you can make YOUR OWN MARIO KART TRACKS just sells it alone.

Hi there, I've recently finished making a multicup called the quick mode multicup. Basically, I've made one track using every theme from the quick mode editor across all the three SNES, GBA, and DS games. In total, there are 32 tracks. you can play it using the link below. I'm still working on a multicup using the complete mode with 16 custom made original tracks.
(also working on making challenges for the quick mode multicup as well so all the challenges should be done in a few days)
Play the quick mode multicup here --> https://mkpc.malahieude.net/circuit.php?mid=1962

MKPC Controller Tutorial
On 2020-08-15 at 02:49:04
Hi everyone! I'm back with a brand new post. As you might have read the title, I've found a way to use controllers to play MKPC. If you wanna play with controllers too, I'll walk you step by step with the process.
Step 1
first, you'll need a PC (of course) and a controller to use to play MKPC. Make sure that your controller can be connected to your PC via bluetooth or USB.
Step 2
Once you have what you need, install AntiMicro which will map keyboard keys to your controller. you can install it here: https://github.com/AntiMicro/antimicro/releases
Step 3
Once installed, and Windows configures it, open AntiMicro. (You may need to go to Program Files using File Explorer and go there to open it.)
Step 4
Make sure your controller has been connected to your PC. Once opened, you can check if your controller has been connected if you see the name of the controller you connected.
Step 5
Now, you map the keys on the keyboard to your controller. For example,
Arrow Keys Left & Right = Left Stick
Item Key = Right Trigger
Drift Key / Do Tricks = Left Trigger
Accelerate Key = A/B Button
Look Behind Key = X/Y Button
There are also presets for joysticks, so you could easily map left and right arrow keys to a joystick.
I like to use the right stick to move the mouse and a extra button for left click. But if it's easier, you can still manually move the mouse for navigation.
Once you're happy with your controller map, you're ready to play MKPC with your controller! Just make sure that AntiMicro is running in the background by minimizing the program. When your done, you can close the program.
(If you're wondering, it does support xinput and most controllers. I've tested this with 2 USB controllers, as well as a switch pro controller.)

I'd like to create characters to put in MKPC, but i'm trying to find out how to do it. Does anyone have any programs, tips, etc., to point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.
what music plays in the "play game" menu?
On 2020-07-19 at 13:01:25
The first few seconds of the main menu music is from the main menu of Super Mario Kart, while the rest is from the credits theme of the same game. You're welcome!
