In the works since 2020 (it was an on and off), it features 48 courses throughout the series, specifically all of the mainline games aside from Mario Kart 8.
It's also a bit more skill-based!

Here's a little fun fact: The part where "Take on Me" plays was actually supposed to have a different (and far better) song which is a medley of various songs from the DK series. It's available in the official soundtrack under the title "Drivin' Me Bananas."
Makes me wonder if the version we have currently is just the theatrical cut. If it is, then boy am I expecting the unedited cut be available on the DVD release.

After watching the movie (on first day release!), I can safely say that "Peaches" is the absolute climax of human artistic achievement. No feat, no matter what it is, done by humanity will never compare to Bowser's multiverse-worthy performance. All jokes aside, that movie was fricking amazing. Can't wait for its Netflix release!

Today marks one year since the Booster Course Pass DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe released to the general public. Initially met with mass criticism from fans, it has progressively received more praise as more waves released. An interesting purpose of the pass is to preserve every nitro from Mario Kart 9, better known as Mario Kart Tour. Cope.
Anyways, what are your personal opinions on the Booster Course Pass at the moment now that we're one year in? Predictions maybe?

Technically, it's the ONLY anniversary, but otherwise...
The Pass has been pretty good, even back in Wave 1. Dropping out of Tour hurt a lot of people's experiences with the tracks. Those who at least followed/played Tour already had a general idea of what was coming every single time, it was harder to feel outright "disappointed".
The datamines did end up spoiling the remainder of Waves 2,3 & 4. A bit upset about that, but it forced the so called "predictions" to die out nice and quick, rather than letting them reach Smash Bros. levels of "What the Fuck?" It's a bit late for the characters to be added, personally, but the Tour preservation was lacking in that area as well, so it's certainly welcome. Some of the first 16 tracks were jarring to look at, but most of them were beyond saving by a simple GFX update. The music is at least just as great as base game, no more stupid MIDI.
The rebalance was super random, and isn't a Tour thing. Everything else: Tracks, Custom Items, Characters, Quick Item Respawn, Trick off everything, Lightning doesn't Stop Gliding---All very Tour things, yet this one, somehow, wasn't. It still bugs me to this day.
As for predictions, there still isn't much wiggle room. But I have a couple I'm expecting to see.

we all have unpopular opinions about mario kart so
WE CAN ALL AGREE THERE ARE SOME GARBAGE STUFF
so ima just list how the 1st booster course wave sucked by making it in a nutshell
choco mountain mid.
they f*cked up coconut mall.
tokyo blur exists.
paris promenade and shroom ridge are actually alright.
ninja hideway is torture for 200cc.
toad circuit was the new morbius at for like a week and i forgot that it exists too the point i had to search it up.
sky garden just got TOO SIMPLIFIED.

Alright, I have a bucket full of them
- Tour is one of the best Mario Kart games
- BCP > Base 8
- The Tour version of Wii Rainbow Road is better than the original... in every way!
- Choco Mountain is the worst course in Mario Kart 64 and the Tour glowup is infinitely better
- Rock Rock Mountain > Alpine Pass
- DK Summit > DK's Snowboard Cross
- Music Park > Melody Motorway
- DS Mario Circuit deserved to be in the BCP and not Airship Fortress
- I'd prefer seeing Wii Bowser's Castle as the finishing course than Wii Rainbow Road
- MKWii is one of the worst entries in the series
- Half-pipes were done best in Tour
- Mario Kart Ultimate is a terrible idea
- The cars initally being static in Coconut Mall is such a minor change that was overhyped
- 8 Deluxe > Wii
- Out of every city course that's currently not in the BCP, Vancouver Velocity is the hardest to do route predictions on
- The original Wave 3 roster is better since the finalized roster breaks the tradition of having a single fan favorite per wave
- Tour artstyle > 8's artstyle
- In terms of the BCP, Waluigi Stadium >>> 3DS Rainbow Road

Los Angeles Laps: Potential new roads?

Recently I found out that L.A. Laps has some roads that connect various landmarks to eachother even more, similar to Amsterdam Drift.

As you will see, there's an unused route that connects the second-to-last turn on L.A. Laps 2 to just next to Two Rodeo Drive, as also seen in this photo. https://www.mariowiki.com/Los_Angeles_Laps#/media/File:MKT_Los_Angeles_Laps_3_Scene.jpg
There's one on L.A. Laps 1 which is next to the double lane. Unlike Amsterdam Drift, the buildings that surround the two roads appear to be fully modeled.
Although, yes, they may not use these roads when it inevitably comes to 8 Deluxe, but why not get a bit creative?
If they do use them, I personally believe the route will go like this:
The first lap is based on L.A. Laps 3, along with the start line being in the position the course uses. Pretty straightforward.
The second lap is based on L.A. Laps 2, though this time you don't go on the final straightaway and instead go on the unused route and onto the final section of L.A. Laps 3, though you'll also have the option to go down a THIRD unused route that also goes beside Two Rodeo Drive. This is mostly similar to what Berlin Byways did with BB3 and BB1, and what Paris Promenade did.
The third lap is based on L.A. Laps 1R. Since London Loop, Sydney Sprint, and Paris Promenade use an R variation for their third laps, I thought it would be fitting for this one too. The unused route is again optional and could have Dash Panels.probably gonna be useless It's confusing and maybe unrealistic, but it's reasonable.
That's my personal prediction if they use those routes. What are yours if they use them?
