Idk if I'm able to see a bit of the general Nintendo Direct before school, but I hope I don't get spoiled by the next 3D Mario game without watching the literal trailer

I feel bad for the people who have to go to school while the general Nintendo Direct will stream, probably going to show the next 3D Mario game. We just have to accept stuff even if we don't want to. What I don't want happening is getting jumpscared by the 3D Mario stuff online during lunch or something, 'cause that can drain the excitement.

Can we start posting more on SFA? Just saying. I get that school's back again, which means less messages, but I just want to see something worth talking about. I keep posting Sonic CD facts just to liven things up a bit.

Hey, maybe during the directs, people would start yapping about big games again.

Giving specific names to the Classic Sonic games:

Sonic 1 - Sonic Genesis

Sonic 2 - Sonic Rally

Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Sonic Odyssey

Spoiler [ShowHide]
Sonic 3 - Sonic Odyssey Part 1

Sonic & Knuckles - Sonic Odyssey Part 2

Sonic 1 is "Genesis" since it's the start of his story basically, and because of the console it's on. It just sounds nice.

Sonic 2 is "Rally" because he returns back to his emerald quest after CD, and improves his adventure success with Tails. There are also many speed areas in the zones.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles is "Odyssey" considering that when you combine the two cartridges, you get the full game. It also takes a while to finish the game.

Possibly the Sonic Movie 4 plot:

Spoiler [ShowHide]
In case you didn't know, the Sonic Movies are cut into 3 acts, like the zones in the Sonic games.

Act 1

The scene opens on a desolate world, filled with smog and unorganic material. We see a mysterious character in a cloak taking out badniks left and right. They're in the heart of Robotropolis. After destroying the badniks, the character takes off their hood to reveal Amy Rose. She speeds through Robotropolis, taking down more and more badniks until she arrives at Dr. Eggman's base. Amy is planning to finish things off once and for all, the way she knows her hero would, Sonic. Someone who's fought Eggman time and time again in this timeline, but eventually fell to his latest and nastiest creation, Metal Sonic. Amy gets a notification on her comm system. Someone else is on the other line trying to convince her not to go in, that it's too dangerous. Metal Sonic has been mass-produced, and if Sonic couldn't beat the army, what makes Amy think she can take on so many more? Amy ignores the call and continues to move inside. She notices that things are a little too easy. These versions of Metal Sonic are noticeably weaker than the model she fought previously, but it doesn't matter. She makes it into the throne room where Eggman has been maintaining control over everyone's lives since she was a kid, and she was going to end things off once and for all. There he is, lying on the throne with a giant computer room behind him, standing tall, Dr. Eggman. His face is hardly visible in the shadows. He speaks to Amy, "I've been keeping a close eye on you. I figured these bots would be no match for you, (laughter) but it's too late." A portal opens behind Eggman. Whatever's happening, he's already done it and ready to move out. The portal greatly resembles a ring, but looks incredibly unstable. Amy swings at Eggman, but it barely does a thing at him. He then throws Amy to the side and walks into the portal, laughing maniacally. Amy's comms turn on once again, the same voice ringing in her ears, but she doesn't listen. She throws her hammer and knocks the ring out of its axis just enough for something to go wrong. Sparks start flying, and Eggman grows frustrated. Eggman, in a fit of rage, leaps through the ring, and Amy follows along with a few Metal Sonic drones. They all leap into the ring, and the entire building explodes in a flash of white. Amy then wakes up in a dark forest and sees an old wooden sign, "Welcome: New York State Park".  That portal just scattered Amy, and presumably Eggman, back in time.

(Title drop)

Amy finds Sonic on the ground after defeating the many other Metal Sonics in her path and starts geeking out that she's meeting the Sonic the Hedgehog, the legendary hero who stopped Eggman's plans many times, and how she's always looked up to him growing up. Sonic is obviously confused by this especially considering how he just saved the world with Shadow a couple hours ago. What this pink hedgehog is going on about really puzzles Sonic, but it hardly matters because he thinks she's kind of cute. Sonic bumbles his way onto his feet and asks for Amy's name. They go off with each other and group back up with the team. Tom, Maddie, Tails and Knuckles are all waiting for Sonic back at home, and Amy explains what's going on. It turns out that she's actually from Sonic's original planet. She also figures out that she got sent to the past after jumping in that mutated ring. But from the future where she hails from, Sonic is known as an incredible hero who put up a great fight against Eggman multiple times, but eventually fell due to his most notorious creation, Metal Sonic. The explosion from the Eclipse Cannon opened a wormhole of some kind that sent Eggman to the home of Sonic, and he's currently building his empire there as they speak. For Dr. Eggman not only conquers Sonic's world, but eventually the Earth as well since his army had grown so large over time that there was nothing anyone could do to stop it. So Sonic, Tails, and Amy venture off into Sonic's world. Knuckles opts to stay behind so that the Master Emerald can stay protected while they're away, but Knuckles tells them to come back if their lives are in danger.

The next scene opens with Sonic reminiscing on his life back before he was sent to Earth, understanding what Longclaw meant about people always wanting to use his powers for one reason or another. But, he thinks that without that sacrifice that Longclaw made, he wouldn't have the life he does today, or one at all. They find themselves in a village, that being Amy's hometown way before she was born, but she recognizes it all the same. This place is filled with huts and nondistinct villagers all looking in awe that Sonic has come home. Sonic had been a huge talking point amongst the nearby villagers about how this rambunctious little speedster disappeared one day and never to return. Sonic was never one to hide his powers as a kid, so it would make sense that people would be well aware of his existence. Sonic doesn't know what to do with his well-known fame, but he kind of does his best to not let it go to his head while also playing into the idea that he's among his people once again and that they're very interested in him at the very least. They continue moving through the village and are brought to a very mysterious castle. Upon entering, they're greeted by none other than Shadow the Hedgehog. Sonic and Tails are completely taken aback by finding Shadow again as he had completely vanished by the end of the previous movie. And this time he became a knight. Shadow mentions how he thought he'd never see Sonic again after what happened in space. Sonic and Amy bring Shadow up to speed on what's occuring, and Shadow is inherently skeptical. Eggman helped save the world. Why would he immediately try to conquer another one? Not to mention, he's heard nothing about Eggman being on this planet. Everything had been peaceful since he landed here after the events of the previous movie.

Before things can get too friendly, however, the village is attacked by none other than Metal Sonic. In the blink of an eye, he grabs Sonic through a wall and drags him through the village. Sonic tries to fight him off, but he still doesn't know what the weakness to this robot is. Tails and Amy help everyone evacuate, and Shadow chases after Metal Sonic, for he's the only one fast enough to catch up. They battle it out for a little while before Sonic gets fully knocked out by Metal Sonic, and Shadow has to be the one to fend him off. Metal Sonic didn't account for two hedgehogs similar in power level, so he flies off in a random direction. Amy sees this and immediately rushes to help Sonic out. Shadow says nothing and chases in the direction of Metal Sonic. Amy grows doubtful of Sonic's ability after watching him get wiped out by Metal Sonic, starting to wonder if this really was the hero everyone spoke highly of in the future.

Act 2

The next scene starts with Sonic and Amy recouping their loss against Metal Sonic, and how angry Sonic is that Eggman tried to skip worlds and conquer Sonic's home planet. Amy talks further about the atrocities Eggman has commited in the past 10 years, which is where this future takes place. The amount that Eggman was able to take over and expand, it only took him a few months to take over. Sonic remarks about how he can't let this bad future happen and vows to stop it at any cost. He also knows that Shadow's pretty powerful in his own right and can get things done, so he might be okay. Although the idea of fighting someone that knows his every move isn't too enticing. Amy offers to guide Sonic and Tails to where she knows Robotropolis will eventually be built as that's really the best lead they have at the moment. We next cut to Shadow who's been taken down by Metal Sonic off screen. He's awoken in his cell and can't break out of it. No matter how hard he tries, he just feels too weak to do so. Metal Sonic walks up to Shadow's cell and simply stares at him. Shadow had no idea how Metal Sonic took him down with relative ease, but it doesn't matter. Another door opens with a blinding light, revealing the silhouette of Dr. Eggman. Still unable to see his full body, but it's undeniably him. Without a word said, Eggman steals the ring Shadow had on him and walks away. Eggman tosses the ring and through it is what appears to be Neo San Francisco. Shadow pleads with Eggman. They saved the world together. Why would they do this? Why now? Eggman says nothing and walks through the portal with Metal Sonic by his side. The rest are up guarding Eggman's single base where Robotropolis is expected to be built.

Sonic, Tails, and Amy rush to Robotropolis and bash through more Metal Sonics. Sonic immediately notices that something is up when they're able to tear through them with very little issue. The one they faced in the village was much more stronger than this, but that's a bridge they'll cross when they get to it. They rush into the base and find Shadow's cell. Shadow tells everyone what happened to him and what he believes Eggman is up to. Shadow knows something is wrong with Eggman. He's cold and calculated. Nothing like the Eggman he knew from back then. He explains that he stole Shadow's ring and went through a portal. He could only make out some skyscrapers and neon lights. Sonic and Tails immediately put the dots together. San Francisco. He's got to be after the Master Emerald's new home. Smash cut to Knuckles. The piece is cut short when Knuckles sees Sonic and Tails running towards them telling him of the danger to come. They need to use the emerald's power to take down Metal Sonic and Dr. Eggman. But unfortunately, Knuckles is smarter than that. He knows Sonic and Tails would never try to use the emerald's power in such a way that breaks their vows a second time. And luckily, it was a trick. Knuckles punches the disguises out of Metal Sonic and Eggman. Knuckles looks on at the two, but that's not Eggman. The mask fully comes off. Knuckles punched him so hard the disguise of his disguise came off. Eggman isn't the one pulling the strings here. No, it's Neo Metal Sonic. But Knuckles doesn't care. He's heard of the danger and he takes action.

The fight starts between Knuckles and Neo Metal Sonic. The two are going at it. Throwing punches. Flames of disaster. It's an all-out brawl. At the same time, we're cutting back Sonic running back towards Green Hill in with Tails, Shadow, and Amy. But once they get there, it's too late. Knuckles is on his last leg against Neo Metal Sonic, and in a last-ditch effort to make sure no one can get their hands on the emerald, he smashes it into pieces, scattering the seven Chaos Emeralds hidden within. in a fit of rage, Neo Metal Sonic goes for the final blow against Knuckles, but is stopped by Sonic himself. Sonic makes a remark at Metal Sonic's new design, unsure of what's going on. He thought Eggman was here. Sonic and Metal Sonic burst out into a brawl and everyone joins in, but it hardly does anything to him. In the middle of the fight, this is where we get the backstory for Neo Metal Sonic. He starts his monologue at his very creation. In between the events of Sonic 2 and 3, while Eggman was sulking in his defeat, he created one last robot using a punching bag of sorts to vent out his frustrations. A robot replica of Sonic himself made out of pure scrap. But eventually, Eggman grew tired and forgot about the thing altogether until he used the quill of Sonic he's had since the first movie as a power source. Now, Metal Sonic was truly awakened. Fearing it's power, Eggman shut it off instantly. But he never stopped tinkering with the code. He would implememt fighting data from the movies he would watch, and give Metal Sonic the ability to copy anything it wants merely at a touch. But more importantly, in the back of Eggman's mind, he had an idea. If he were to ever go out, he would tie his own life to the activation of Metal Sonic, and awaken him when he passes and carry on the mission of destroying Sonic by any means necessary. And in the time he came from, the future he hails, he destroyed Sonic. But his legacy always lived on. Sonic never truly died. Metal Sonic aims for the complete erasure of Sonic by making sure these events never happen in the first place. To combine Chaos energy with the power of the emeralds to make sure Sonic's influence had been permanently erased. He had obtained Chaos Energy offscreen after he captured Shadow. And he already had Sonic's bio data because of the quill that activated him. Appearing that Sonic's own quill is inside of Metal Sonic, Sonic is able to take back control of his own quill and the energy being used from it. But it's not without a cost. In the middle of the fight, Shadow and Tails are taken out, leaving Sonic and Amy. Neo Metal Sonic reverts back to the form of just Metal Sonic. But Sonic reaches his hand out in a friendly manner.

Sonic knows Metal Sonic has autonomy. of his own. He reasons with Metal Sonic, telling him that he doesn't need to be a pawn for someone that not only doesn't exist anymore, but someone who changed his ways in his final monents. And if he knows Eggman can change, so can Metal Sonic. And this resonates with Metal Sonic. His pupils slowly widen and he pauses for a moment, and then grabs Sonic's hand.

"Sonic the Hedgehog. Life force data sucessfully copied." In a massive eruption of energy, Metal Sonic's silhouette reforms once again to Neo Metal Sonic. All he needed to do was to make contact with Sonic, and now he's back to being more powerful than ever. With the quill, he only had the speed of Sonic, but now he knows everything about him. He's not done yet, he still needs the Chaos Emeralds. He's incomplete, but that doesn't prove to be a huge deal for him. During Metal Sonic's fight with Knuckles, he managed to copy his bio data as well. Metal Sonic picks up the pieces of the Master Emerald and completely reforms it. In a large flash of white, all that can be seen of him is absorbing the power of the emeralds and turning into Super Neo Metal Sonic. This sends Sonic into a self-loathing spiral. At every turn during this movie, he let his ego get the better of him and the one time he tried putting it all aside, it all but guaranteed their doom. This is the first time where Sonic begins to doubt his ability to do good. To doubt himself. If he hadn't acted the way he did before now, maybe things would be different. And Amy sees that. She's the only one left standing after this confrontation, heartbroken that things turned out this way. But she knows something that no one else does. This isn't how Sonic's story ends, at least not in her time. Sonic goes out fighting a normal version of Metal Sonic. Whatever's happened now, history has changed, and that should be enough to get Sonic back on the seat.

Tom and Maddie rush over to the scene since this battle did take place where the chase with Sonic happened in the first movie, because if anything explosive was happening here, Sonic and his friends were definitely the culprits. Maddie, actually being a veterinarian for the first time since the first movie, helps out with the fallen heroes, and they wake up to see Sonic and Amy standing alone. Amy is the one to help Sonic out of the pit he dug himself into. She assures him that they win this, or at least things go down very, very differently. Because if anyone can do it, it's Sonic. The real Sonic. Not this fake mask he put on himself. To be the best he can be, he needs to live true to himself, letting no one else stand in his way of his full potential. These weren't the words he wanted to hear, but the ones he needed to hear. And luckily, there's just enough time to stop Metal Sonic, for there's something even he cannot do. And that is to take full control over the power of the Chaos Emeralds.

Act 3

Sonic picks up the emerald and walks it over to everyone else. He knows he can't do this alone and asks Knuckles to break the vow, but only if they all agree to it. Because there's no way he can stop Metal Sonic on his own or any of them in their current state. Knuckles nods, and without saying anything more, everyone gathers in a circle. A flash of lightning hits and the emeralds swirl around the group, all transforming at the same time. Super Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, and yes, Super Amy, have all transformed and powered up with the determination of saving the future, not just for Sonic, but this world and his. Back in Sonic's home planet, with the power of the borrowed emerald, Neo Metal Sonic is accelerating the process of creating Robotropolis as it was 10 years in the future. Now that he has the power of the emerald, and the knowledge of how to calibrate the rings to travel through time, and also Amy not throwing her hammer into him, no one can stop him now. A ring opens up nearby and the group comes flying out at light speed, smacking him left and right, each using their individual skill sets to take him down. But Metal Sonic saw this coming. Using the power of the emeralds, similar to Eggman in the second movie, he uses his powers to create a ton of Metal Sonic drones out of thin air, and pushes the team back. Knuckles, Tails, and Shadow are the first to be sent back, but they're more than enough for a match for the army. The Metal Sonic army was created just to slow them down, but what concerns everyone more is what they see scraps of indistinct steel and metal form around Neo Metal Sonic. He uses the power of the emeralds to create and exoskeleton around him. This form grows to be 30 feet tall, massive, towering. It's Metal Overlord, Metal Sonic's final form.

Metal Overlord rises up to the sky. Sonic and Amy follow. The power of the time traveling ring is imbued within Metal Overlord, and thus begins their clash across time itself, until time completely breaks around them. They're now in a world where time is completely irrelevant, time in between time. Shattered pieces of Sonic's past form in the background. Metal Sonic sees Sonic's past form around him an goes for the farthest point in time, before Sonic was sent to Earth. If he can take him out there, none of the events from the movies would ever happen, thus erasing Sonic's legacy and himself forever. Due to his massive frame, he no longer has the speed to be faster than Sonic, especially in a super state, only relying on the ring and the emeralds to get him this far. Sonic knows what's about to happen. He grabs Amy's hand and tells her that he needs a boost. Sonic flies up to Metal Overlord and holds him back from going any further. It's a struggle and he can't hold him for long. Amy charges up and puts all of her remaining energy into her hammer. Everything is riding on this one shot. Amy flies up to Metal Sonic and knocks out the exoskeleton in one single smash. Neo Metal Sonic's power is fading as he's knocked out of the white space, incapable of keeping up that much speed any longer. Sonic and Amy, both exhausted from the battle, turn back into their normal forms and fall back into the regular world because they, too, can't keep up the speed any longer. They fall back into the battlefield next to Neo Metal Sonic, right after the others have just finished fighting the Metal Army. Everyone gives each other a big hug except for Shadow, because he's not built for that yet. And thus, the world and the future has been saved.

Sonic asks what Shadow plans on doing next, since he's free to go wherever he wants now. Shadow is unsure, but he'll find his own way. He's sure they'll cross paths again and runs off back to Earth, most likely setting himself up for his own adventure. The only open thread left is that Amy can't return to her own time now. There's no feasible way other than the Chaos Emeralds to return back home, but she doesn't really want to. It's a very selfish decision on her part, but this world has only become like this because there wasn't a protector around to help. Sonic was gone and she wasn't strong enough back then. She wants to stick around Sonic's home world to help anyone in need protect it from any threat in the future. Sonic also opts to stay in his own world for a while, not as a permanent home, but as a place he can rest for a while. He had never thought about this place since he had Tom and Maddie to grow up with, but now that he's back, he doesn't want to leave right away. And he knows Earth is going to be safe knowing that Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow are there to protect it. Sonic's not going to be gone forever. He just wants to take in the sights for a while, and this is where the movie ends off. Everyone's out doing their own thing, Sonic's on his own planet with Amy, traveling around helping those in need, Tails and Knuckles go back to Earth with Tom and Maddie, and Shadow's off exploring the world now that he's free.

Post Credits

Shadow finds an old, abandoned, laboratory of guns, similar to the one he grew up in with Maria. He walks in and sees a capsule in the darkness. He gets closer, only to see himself staring right back at him. And in the background, two glowing lights. A robot ready to fire. (It's E-123 Omega)

END

(I got this from Dylonic on YouTube)

Now honestly I hope that SEGA and Paramount have the ability to put in some animated characters if they have the space to, because as we all know, there can sometimes be limits to how many CGI characters can be in live-action. Because for this movie, you have Amy, Metal Sonic and his other weak ones, Neo Metal Sonic, Metal Overlord, the villagers from Green Hill, and E-123 Omega in the post-credits. And don't forget about the new super forms. I'm pretty sure the humans won't have as much screen time like in Sonic 2.

With that said, I think the style of the credits this time will be similar to the cutscenes in Sonic CD, with Sonic's friends finally being in the Junio art style. I mean, it makes sense, there's no other way to present the credits like that.
