Welcome to MKPCOCG! I will make the project, you make the cards.
Make cards here: https://pokecardmaker.net/. Submit them!
We need 142 cards in total, including:
2 Partner Cards (1 done)
40 Support cards (5 of each color on each side) (DONE!)
50 Normal cards on each side, of which:
20 New cards (1 done)
10 Spot cards
20 other Normal cards (DONE!)
Booster Packs coming soon!
Rules:
1. Basics
Every card is one of 4 types: White, Green, Red and Blue.
The cards are either Support (required for Attacks), Normal (performing Attacks), or Partner (performing Power Skills and SP Skills).
2. About the cards
You can only have one Partner card in your deck.
You can place a "New" card in the Center and let them perform.
The card in the Center is also called the "Center card". To begin the game, you need at least 1 "New" card to set as the Center card.
Cards with "Spot" written in the top left corner are "Spot cards" and you can place them in the Center or the Collab position just like "New" cards.
The card in the Collab position is a "Collab card".
3. Warm-up
Select your Partner card and place it in the Partner position face down.
The winner of a rock, paper, scissors game decides who goes first.
Draw seven cards from your deck.
The first hand is 7-card, which contains cards (1) - (5) and 2 other random cards. But you have the option to redraw.
To briefly go through the redraw process, return all the cards in your hand to the deck. Shuffle it again, and then draw 7 new cards.
After the first redraw, if you don't have a card with "New" written on the top left corner, show your entire hand to your opponent to make sure that there are no cards with "New" on them. You must redraw until you draw a card with "New" on it. With each redraw, you draw 1 less card. This means that if you don't have a New card in your hand, you have to start the game with fewer cards.
Next, please take a look at card (1) in your hand.
If it's a New card, place it in the Center face down.
Once both sides are finished this setup, it's time to say "Live Start!" and flip the Center and Partner cards.
One final thing is to prepare your Life.
Life is prepared by the cards in the bottom left deck called the Support cards. Life depends on the number in the "Weakness" section of your Partner card, which may either be 5 or 6. Put that number of Support cards in the Life deck.
4. Gameplay
When you begin your turn, please follow these steps in order.
1. Reset Phase (skipped on the first turn of both players)
2. Draw Phase
3. Support Phase
4. Main Phase
5. Performance Phase (skipped on the first turn of the first player)
6. End Phase
After the End Phase, pass the turn to your opponent.
First is the Reset Phase. Take cards that were in collab back on the stage and turn them sideways to indicate they're resting, or ready up resting cards by turning them back to the upright position. Resting cards cannot Collab or use Attacks.
If the Center is empty, place a card from the Stage there.
During the Draw Phase, draw one card from the top of your deck.
Next is Support Phase! Draw one card from your Support deck and send it to one of the cards in the Center, the Partner position or the Collab position. For the first turn, send the Support card underneath the Center card. This phase must be done every turn.
NOTE: You can only attach Support cards of the same type as the card which will be Supported (except if the attacks are marked with Dark-type, here the attack can be used with any support card).
In the Main Phase, first place cards (2) and (3) on the stage.
There are many other actions you can take during your turn, but in the first player's turn, your options are limited. However, there is one more useful thing that you can do this turn, and it's the "Collab".
Collab can only be used once per turn. To perform it, first place one card from the top of your deck face down next to your Partner card in the Power area. By accumulating cards in the Power area, you can move a card that is currently on the stage to the Collab position. A "Collab Effect" is an ability that activates when a card performs a Collab from the stage.
Here, Partner cards can use Power Skills and SP Skills, which use Power. The Power used is moved to the Archive. Power Skills can be used once per turn, and SP Skills can be used only once in the game.
Baton Pass switches the Center card with a card on the Stage. The number of Support cards of the Center card that need to be archived is written on the "Retreat" section of the card.
Time for the Performance Phase! Here, the Center or Collab card can use Attacks to deal damage to a Center or a Collab card. When a card has 0 HP left, it is downed and the player whose card is downed loses a life.
Downed cards are moved to the Archive with their Support cards. The player who lost a life reveals the top Support card from his Life deck and sends it to the Partner, Center or Collab card.
End Phase: the player ends their turn.
5. Winning conditions
A player wins if:
1. he reduces his opponent's life to 0,
2. he removes all opposing cards from the stage (except for the Partner card),
3. the opponent has no cards in their deck at the start of the Draw Phase.
