I like reverse drifting, the problem however is, if you mess up, like touch off-road for example, you stop completely, and you have to let go of the acceleration button for a few seconds

Very recently I made 2 custom characters, featuring Hatsune Miku in Blue Biddybuggy, and Wild Wiggler. Go check those out if you like. (Credit @Angel121, for the character, and @JPN-Shoppi and @bienveillant for the karts) This actually gives me the idea of making a mutlicup called Super Vocaloid Kart featuring not only Hatsune Miku, but also Luka, Len, Rin, Teto, Neru, Gumi, and other characters. This is a collab project so anyone can help with both the characters and tracks. Send me collab links. Use any drawing software you like.

Another issue is the checkpoints, for example, if you are already at checkpoint 2, if you fall into a hole before even crossing checkpoint 3, if you respawn after checkpoint 3, the lap won't count and you'll have to backtrack to checkpoint 3.

If you have a Bullet Bill, if you use the item almost the exact frame you fall, when you respawn, the item will kinda still be active, but you will be slow and the Bullet Bill sprite will shrink as if it was struck by lightning. Have you witnessed the glitch before?
