It's been a while since I've been here. Also, I think this topic should be locked since the 6th birthday already happened and this is now useless. Plus, people might spam revive it or some shit.
Nah, it's so good as it is. The topic being old makes it kinda iconic, going from the birth of the idea back in 2018 to the celebrations of what MKPC has became with time, now in 2023. We don't need a yearly topic for every birthday... it's fine as it is, really. And people commenting short messages is uh... fine. The original topic hasn't much to it so it's one of the rare cases where we should let people react, even with very short messages...
Also reviving important topics isn't bad lmfao. You revived way more irrelevant topics that were way older. And before Pianta decides to start an army against me, the revives you did brought nothing, you just said "revive
" to laugh at Max who hated that, and you didn't even try to add to the discussion, you just revived for "fun". That's not a good idea.

Je sais pas si c'est un bug ou une màj mais je ne vois plus de flag counter nulle part sur MKPC, ni sur la page d'accueil ni dans les messages!
I don't know if it's a bug or an update but I'm not seeing the flag counters anymore on MKPC, neither on the home page nor in messages!

C'est le nombre de visiteurs, peu importe s'ils ont un compte, peu importe si leur compte est supprimé. Il n'y a que 1797 membres sur le forum, c'est choquant, j'aurais pensé qu'il y avait bien plus

We did it!! 600,000!
That's awesome, we managed to gain 100k new visitors within barely 6 months! A few years ago it would have taken twice that time! MKPC is growing, and its growth is also accelerating!

That's a very cool acomplishment, though, like Nudge, I'm not feeling like if it was that great. I thought to myself, and I came to the conclusion that the more widespread is MKPC, the more it becomes annoying (remember back in 2016-2018, when the site looked more like a family

Are we allowed to Minimod on our own topics? Let's say somebody creates a topic about Mario Galaxy movie and a forum member promotes a track that hey have just created.
Can't the topic owner just tell them that it's not the place to post or promote their tracks?
Well, it depends on the topic owner. Personnally you could, but not every topic owner can be trusted.

As I have been trying to be more present on the website these last few days, I have noticed the users interacting on this platform are mostly new, so some of them might not be familiar with what is considered forbidden and what is considered allowed, as the rules are slightly outdated. This topic serves as a reminder for those who already know and as information for those who did not. This will be relatively quick and brief, so please read up. [If you still consider this too long, at least skip to the end of the message, to the TL;DR section.]
What You Can Do
- Post topics to talk about Mario games.
- Post topics to talk about various games as long as they are not innapropriate.
- Interact with each other with relevancy.
- Post topics to talk about certain topics that are not political and known/relevant/important enough for a certain amount of people to talk about it.
- Create fanfics.
- Create gameshows but looking out for useless messages/message farming.
- Create a topic to strictly introduce yourself if you are a new user, and provide at least a minimal amount of information about yourself and your interests.
- Have calm and open debates (not arguments) on non-political matters/subjects.
What You Cannot Do
- Say everything that comes to your mind.
Examples:
Reason: Those messages are not relevant and drown actually relevant topics in the topic section or messages in the topics itself. MKPC Forum is not a groupchat. Not everyone needs to know what you had for breakfast, what just happened in your life (unless it is major), what you would say orally to your mother or to your best friend is not our business.
- Create "make a story" topics.
Reason: While the concept of it might seem fun, it is more often than not used as a place to farm messages. People don't try to make the story funny or interesting, they just say random stuff to get their message count up; they put words together without truly asking themselves if it actually makes sense; it doesn't. For now, these topics will hence be forbidden.
- Anything regarding the message leaderboard, whether it be trying to get your count up, or talk about your count.
Reason: Those were created as a little fun thing back then when MKPC had a much smaller userbase. Now that it has grown, it has become people's motivation to get their count up. They want to get a higher league on their profile, or to be on top of the monthly message leaderboard. That is forbidden. I have stated it several times and will do it again. Stricly any message saying "I am 2nd this month!" "I just reached Gold Mario!" "1000th message!" "I'm trying to get my count up hehe" will be DELETED, and warnings/bans might be sent if it occurs several times.
- Treat any user with disrespect.
Reason: Speaks for itself. Respect everyone.
- Create or engage in arguments.
Reason: While creating arguments is forbidden, it always happens at a certain point. Two users start arguing/fighting over something. In this situation, you need to REPORT the message and not engage. We do not care which side you are from, just report the message. Your interaction will make it escalate.
- Excessive multiposting.
This one is quite simple, a few messages in a row are fine but over 3 is a no.
- Minimodding.
