For sure the Super Mario Bros. cartoons are janky as hell, but at this point that's part of the charm. There just aren't any shows made like this anymore, and I don't think it would work nearly as well if it was updated to look more modern in the style of Victor and Valentino or some other prime-time American children's cartoon. It's 100% a product of the time but it's still weirdly enjoyable, ironically and unironically.
There still is one episode that I can't tolerate, and that's "Bad Rap". Not because they're rapping, not because of the idea of the Mario Brothers and company rapping, but moreso due to its execution. The people voicing cannot rap and they cannot do it for the full 11 minutes of the episode. Considering the entire script is rapped it makes for a grueling watch, if I even do watch it.

A few minutes ago, I rewatched episode 5: Princess Toadstool for President, so here it is.

This time, the plot is very simple and easy to understand. Peach and Bowser agree to run against each other in an election for the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom. Since Bowser knows he doesn't stand a chance, Cheatsy and Kooky make a nice guy potion for him. He gains popularity, but it starts to fade off. Therefore, the two go back to the castle to make some more of the potion. The Mario Bros stop them, exposes Bowser's cheating, and Peach wins by a vote of 6-billion-something to one. "Who would vote for Bowser?" you ask? He voted for himself. While asking how he could be the only one who voted for him, Cheatsy says one of my favorite quotes in the show:
"We just had to vote for her. She's so nice, and you're so, so..."
*Bowser growls*
"Exactly, Dad."

There wasn't too much happening, but it also wasn't boring as heck. It was a good balance between Mind Your Mummy Mommy, Mario and The Beauty of Kootie. It also didn't have too many mistakes, aside from Cheatsy's usual face glitches.

Next time, if there is a next time, I'll be going over Never Koop a Koopa, where we see Cheatsy once again betraying his father. See you then.

I watched episode 6 next week, and decided to stop the review series since I was getting bored with it. However, I found out that people really care about this show:
I found songs from clips of both cartoons.
Somebody who goes by Kootie-Pie Koopa holds world records in Mario Kart Arcade GP.
Someone has Big Mouth as his profile picture.
There are TAoSMB3 morphs on Roblox.
There's even a battle course based on a picture of Kooky... that last one's actually pretty cool, ngl.
But anyway, everyone's love for this show somehow motivated me to keep going. I'll be back later for Never Koop a Koopa.

I rewatched this last week, and there's no way I'm watching this episode 3 times, so I'm just gonna go by my memory.

The episode starts at Toad's House while eveyone is having a spaghetti lunch, another reminder that Super Show exists. Bowser and a few of his Koopalings come carrying a white flag, which means they gave up trying to take over the Mushroom Kingdoom. He gives his castle to Peach, and she decides to turn it into a retirement home. When the gang go to clean it up, they realize it was a trap. Bowser locks them in the dungeon and gives Cheatsy a few cheating lessons, one of which being the double cross. Cheatsy is fascinated by that move so he does it on Bowser. He tells the prisoners that if they sign the kingdom to him, they will be let go. Cheatsy takes the throne, and of course Bowser is furious. He then shows Cheatsy that the signature was fake.

The Cheatsy episodes are the more interesting ones, especially with the double cross he pulled. It was another balanced episode like the last one, but it could've had a little more going on. Other than that, it's a pretty decent episode. Next time, I'll be going over Reign Storm, where you'll get to find out who my favorite Koopaling in the show is. (Unless you read my track comment from earlier...)

I was gonna do a Cinema-Sins-style video for the rest of the episodes, but I didn't wanna put in all the effort, so here's just a normal post.

Peach is going on a vacation to Hawaii and- wait, Hawaii? I thought RitRG was the only Real World episode. For those of you who don't know, there are 9 episodes that involve the Real World, but since I was gonna give a big speech on why Kooky is my favorite Koopalings, I'm gonna save the Real World rant for *looks for which RW episode is next* I guess Toddler Terrors of Time Travel.
Anyway, Bowser and Kooky are seen eavesdropping on her. Oh, hey! Here's that speech I was talking about!

Kooky is what Hop should've been. He's a crazed inventor who's often misunderstood. He's also adorable, and has a laugh that can cure depression.... I'm pretty sure I had more to say, but I hope that's good enough.

Kooky has the idea of making a robot princess to fool the Mario Bros while the real princess is away. As you can imagine, chaos happens when the robot princess comes, and Mario decides to have, "An old-fashioned plumber-to-princess talk."
Meanwhile in Hawaii, Toad finds out that Kooky is here (for a reason I'll bring up later) and that the rest of the Koopas are up to no good. The robot princess hands the kingdom over to Bowser, but Peach surfs into the castle and takes the crown back.

That was a lot to keep up with, and I didn't even come close to going over everything, so I'd suggest you watch it yourself. We're going through a streak of really good episodes, and this is one of the highlights. There's a lot going on, but it's not utterly confusing, kinda like RitRG.

"You have got to be kidding me" moments:
This is a new segment where I list every time a character does something stupid just so the plot can happen, and I can only think of two.
  • The Mario Bros falling for the robot princess.
  • Kooky's "Hawaii disguise." You won't believe me when I say this, but it's literally just a lei. A frickin' lei!

MISTAKES

This is another new segment that's exactly what it says above, and for some reason, Reign Storm had a thing for messing around with everyone's feet.
  • When Bowser and Kooky are eavesdropping on Mario and Co, Mario's feet go missing.
  • Throughout the scenes involving Hawaii, Peach's shoes constantly disappear and reappear, which is
Spoiler [ShowHide]
something they'll do to Kootie-Pie a lot in future episodes.

  • I don't know how, but Toad's shoes also go missing in one shot.

I hope you enjoyed this volume of my review series. In my general overview, while I didn't say it word-for-word, I basically said it was a trainwreck. If that's still true, then this show is the most entertaining trainwreck of all time. See you next time for Toddler Terrors of Time Travel

It's time for episode 8: Toddler Terrors of Time Travel.

The show was doing so good, and then this episode came. It's literally just Bowser and Kooky sending Mario and Luigi back in time so they never visit the Mushroom Kingdom. Everyone turns into babies, Toad brings everything back to normal, end of story. Even less happens than MYMMM. Because of that, I'm gonna go over another episode, "Dadzilla." Wait... what's that? Do I hear sirens? Oh God, please no...
*siren noises* KOOTIE-PIE ALERT! *siren noises*
Uhm, I'm gonna skip that for... Tag Team Trouble? You mean the one with an easily-avoidable plot? The one with the wrestling match? THE ONE THAT STARS TOAD? We've officially entered a dark period.
I'll go over Dadzilla later to make up for a lack of comments on TToTT.

*some number of minutes later*

It's time for episode 9: Dadzilla, and thankfully, Kootie-Pie isn't the only star. The bad news? The other one is Big-Mouth. He is kind of entertaining, but can still be very childish like the girl who should be burning in hell right now.
The story begins with Kootie-Pie admiring her beauty, if you would even call it that, when Bowser tells her that if she doesn't clean her room, she'll be grounded for a month. She shoves everything into her closet, (we've all been there,) and it explodes when Bowser walks in. Kootie-Pie and Big-Mouth then discover the thing Shigeru Miyamoto wouldn't tell us until 20+ years later: They are not Bowser's children. They think that their real dad is a movie star, so they go to Holly- Wait one second. Wasn't Kootie-Pie grounded? You would think that someone like the Koopas would have top-level security so that nobody could get in or out of the castle/doom ship. Horrible guards aside, the two arrive and find themselves in the middle of a movie scene starring this robot called Madzilla. (You can probably guess where the episode's title came from now.) They turn him into a real monster, and assume that the hideous thing really is their dad. (Listen, I know Bowser has a weird voice and looks kinda like King K. Rool, but you really think Madzilla is handsome?) They demand that he make the two movie stars, and they end up trashing Hollywood. (We also learn that they can't sing. :s) The Mario Bros- oh yeah, they exist. I haven't brought the Mario Bros until now, the very end of the episode, since before that, they did nothing to the story. All they do is disguise themselves at Madzilla's mom, and if she was real, this could've been an entire episode revolving around the Koopalings. (Not saying it's a good thing.) Madzilla falls for it, Mr and Mrs Annoying-As-Heck return to Kastle Koopa, Mario and Co. tell Madzilla about the plan, and they offer him a home in the Mushroom Kingdom.

What do I have to say about it? *thinks for hours on something to comment about* It aired... that's all I can say.

Hey. I've been wanting to continue this series, but it's gotten pretty bad. Plots are more boring, logic is getting out of hand, we're seeing the same 2 or 3 Koopalings over and over, and I recently learned that Tabitha St. Germain plays you-know-who. Not to mention my bajillion other projects I'm working on. I'm kinda sad to stop with this, but I'm also glad. And who knows? A while from now, I might do SMW.
