Hey guys, Pikachu7136 here. Sorry if I haven't been posting new tracks lately, I've been slacking off a bit, but things are getting done, trust me!
In the meantime, here is one fact for every MK7136 track, because I'm bored.
Shy Guy Circuit - Shy Guy Circuit is technically a retro track; my Quick Mode multicup Mario Kart 9! had an abundance of curves, pipes, and oil slicks. In Mario Kart 7136, however, the layout was changed to a more round track. The jump and pipes (although now on the offroad) are kept.
Seaside Driveby - Because of it being updated to have five laps, this track's 150cc Staff Ghost, along with Crystalline Cave and Toad's Factory, is now impossible to beat.
Gigapalm Treetop Random puddles on the track appear on the second lap because it is supposed to rain. This track effect will be fixed in a future update.
Torchlight Boardwalk - This is the first track since Mario Kart 64 to use the word "Boardwalk" in its name, after Banshee Boardwalk.
Mario Circuit - It is possible to skip the first pipe with a Bullet Bill. However, this saves you no time.
Choco Canyon - This track is bugged for my old MacBook Air I use to make my tracks. I made Choco Canyon with a Windows laptop.
Crystalline Cave - This track takes inspiration from the Cave map in Gorilla Tag. It even uses Cave Wave for its music!
Temple Trials - Metal Mario was originally going to be unlocked from a challenge on this track where you have to complete the course without hitting the walls or an obstacle. I thought that this would be quite difficult for some players, so I decided to have him unlocked by completing the challenge "Racing Star!".
DK Hotspring - Ironically, despite the name of the track, DK Hotspring has no DK representation on the outside. Only the music coming from Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and the fact that it takes place on Donkey Kong Island are the DK representations.
Paratroopa Heights - You may have noticed that there's a beanstalk you can drive on, trick off, and has item boxes on it. This is actually the original starting area of the track! It was left over for a reason I forgot.
Cryogenic Cap - Recently, there was a custom offroad update, which led to Cryogenic Cap having the weirdest drifting in the game. If you learn how to drift on here, however, you could end up getting big leads.
King Boo's Fortress - Before the Rails update, the long required rail was instead a cannon.
Titanium City - If you go left when you enter the subway station, you'll find an initially unexplorable area of the track. This track will also return in the upcoming Battle mode, and have that area explorable!
Peach Coast - I had a Puerto Rico trip upcoming at the time, so I made this track for the Special cup based on my vision of the island.
Bowser's Castle - This is actually my least favorite track in MK7136. Despite the medieval theming, for a Bowser track, it looks pretty bland and the layout isn't too special. I do want to rework it, though!
Rainbow Road - If you drove normally, no items, drifting, tricks, it'd take you a bit longer than NS2 Rainbow Road to complete the track.
Figure-8 Circuit - This is the only track I "made" the theme for. I got the MIDI off VGMusic and converted it into the GM soundfont.
Toad Harbor - The background was originally going to be cloudy, making the track a little gloomier.
Frappe Snowland - I kept thinking about this track when I was drinking frappé in Puerto Rico.
Toad's Factory - Despite the many banger remixes in Mario Kart World, this is the only track in the Retro Grand Prix to use a theme from said game.
Mushroom Bridge - You can do an slternate path and jump off the drawbridge while it is raised. This is best done in 200cc, where it only requires one mushroom. Two mushrooms are required in 150cc.
Vanilla Lake 2 - Have you ever wondered why the music is different from the original? That's because it's an arrangement of the Vanilla Lake theme from the beta version of Super Mario Kart.
Cheep-Cheep Island - Something, or ᓭ𝙹ᒲᒷ𝙹リᒷ on the ╎ᓭꖎᔑリ↸ is ℸ∷ᔑ!¡!¡ᒷ↸. Try ⎓╎リ↸╎リ⊣ them. ⍑⚍∷∷ǁ.
Rock Rock Mountain - Not counting the Splounders on Broken Pier, this is the only track in the game as of writing this to have bouncy mushrooms.
Mario Circuit 4 - It's quite hard to go out of bounds inside the track, especially if you're in Time Trials.
Wario Stadium - This track, along with Cheep Cheep Island, Rock Rock Mountain, Mario Circuit 4, was made during my vacation in Puerto Rico.
Tick-Tock Clock It's hard to see during regular gameplay, but if you look at the left gear at the front of the starting line, you'll see Mr. Game & Watch swinging a hammer while holding up a "9" sign.
Electrodrome - The background is an aerial view of the Las Vegas strip.
Wario Colosseum - Did you know it's possible to complete a lap in 1st place without hitting the ON/OFF switches?
Broken Pier - On the first lap, the intended path is to take the jagged bridge, but there's no point in taking it, because the Water Dash path is just faster and better to take, even if it's just a shortcut.
3DS Bowser's Castle I could've chose a better track, but I was obsessed with this track's theme back in 2025.
Wii Rainbow Road 7136 Rainbow Road had a bug where the half-pipe holes didn't make you fall, but rather made you jump. This was fixed in this track.
