I have had mk world for a few weeks now, so here is my track ranking from worst to best
30. Choco Mountain
I hate what they did to this track. I loved choco mountain in tour and 8 deluxe, and I think it would have been great to explore the original choco mountain in free roam. I just hate what they did to this track.
29. Wario Shipyard
Same reason as Choco Mountain. I hate what they did to it.
28. Peach Beach
When I first played peach beach I loved it. The fist lap, the original, is amazing in this game. I would have much preferred 3 laps of that than 1 lap of that, a decent lap, then the 3rd lap... just a long glider and one yes just ONE turn. This turn is really just a looooooong water section. Peach beach could have been so much better.
27. Desert Hills.
I should be calling it Desert _____ because the main feature of it, the HILLS are GONE. Its still better than lap 3 of Peach beach though.
26. Salty Salty Speedway
I really dont have much to say about this one. I really just dont like water physics in this game, and never really liked this track anyway.
25. Wario Stadium (i am sorry wario fans)
I mean it's cool I guess, but the fact that it is supposed to be N64 wario stadium is wild. This is NOT N64 wario stadium which is really sad because it was the only N64 track to not get a remake prior to MK World (i think. Dont quote me on that). Its basically a whole new track. I wouldn't even really like this games wario stadium even if it was an entirely new course. Its just not that interesting.
24. Koopa Troopa Beach.
Sure, I like this track, but it is just too short. The music goes crazy, but when you go to it on a intermission, you only get to play ONE lap of a course that usually has FIVE. That's really all I have to say about this track though.
23. Starview Peak
Now we are getting to tracks I actually like. Starview peak isn't bad, there's just other things that are better than it. I also would've preferred Rosalina's Ice World.
22. Sky-High Sundae
They improved this track so much compared to the original from tour/8 deluxe. This is also the first track I learned all of the shortcuts on, even if I'm not very consistent at them.
21. Mario Circuit.
Nintendo? Where is SNES Mario Circuit 4? Its the only one of the 4 SNES mario circuits not in the game. It has only been brought back ONCE, in a game that has ALL of the SNES tracks(MK Super Circuit). I love that they combined all 3 of the original Mario circuits except for MC4, but I would love this course SO MUCH MORE if SNES MC4 was here.
20. Dino Dino Jungle.
I prefer the original. The original is one of my favorite tracks in the whole series, and I think they just made this course slightly worse.
19. Cheep Cheep Falls
I call it fish fish falls because it's funny.
But Cheep Cheep Falls is a good, fun course, I just dont really like water in this game, so it got brought down for that. Its still fun though.
18. Crown City
I like this track, especially the version with 3 different sections, but I like the other tracks more.
17. Mario Bros. Circuit
Its a great first track, and just a great track in general, but, for the same reason as crown city, I just like the other tracks more.
16. Moo Moo Meadows
I love every version of this track and honestly don't care that it keeps returning. This is probably the best and most improved version. I know moo moo meadows is simple, but I love it.
15. Faraway Oasis
In almost all of the intermissions going to and from Faraway Oasis, there's animals that serve as fun obstacles on the track. On the real racetrack, there's like 2 buffalo looking things on one offroad turn. That's it. This track could have been so much better if they added a few more animals as obstacles.
14. DK Spaceport
Cool concept that was executed very well. A track based on the original Donkey Kong game where each straight line is unique. One with ramps and barrels, one with tons of rails to grind on, one with a bunch of walls to ride, and one with a GIANT robot DK throwing huge barrels. I love this track so much, but all of the other tracks are better.
13. Boo Cinema
Absolute cinema. This track is peak. From the name to the music to even just the concept of racing through a haunted movie theater???
Absolute. Boo. Cinema.
12. Dry Bones Burnout
Dry bones finally got his own track! You get to drive on lava, like 10000 different paths, and so much more. I love this track.
11. Bowser's Castle
Probably the best Bowser's castle in the whole series, but I like other tracks in this game just a little bit more.
10. Peach Stadium
Excluding the version in the shell cup, This is a great track. You get to race around Peach's castle, and the music goes CRAZY. I honestly might have to do a mk world music ranking, but even the layout is good too. This is probably my favorite peach track in the whole entire series.
9. Airship Fortress
This is the best version of this track. I loved it in tour, and they improved it so much in every aspect of the track. It is awesome.
8. Rainbow Road
This track's final lap music is my favorite song in the game by a LOT. This track is AMAZING. I love it.
7. Great ? Block Ruins
Just The way the track feels is incredible. Going up that massive cannon in the last race of the banana cup grand prix then seeing a massive ? block then going right up next to it and hearing the incredible song of this track followed by parkouring across this amazing looking golden path with floating clouds and rings to bounce on. The first time I hit that insane shortcut towards the end of the track was also one of my best memories from this game so far. This is one of the most incredible tracks in the whole mario kart series. There are still a few more tracks I like better than it though.
6. DK Pass
This in my opinion is one of the most underrated tracks in the game. I love it. From all of the cool different shortcuts to the music that reminds me of Christmas morning to even just the way this track looks, I love dk pass and probably always will.
5. Shy guy bazaar
This was one of my favorite tracks from mario kart 7 and when I played it in tour, I loved it even more. This version improved it so much. This track is great, so here are some of my favorite parts about it. Parkouring through the bazaar section, the starting shortcut, the music, and my personal favorite part is the shy guy on a magic flying carpet.
4. Whistlestop Summit
Almost as good as Kalimari Desert. The music, once again, goes crazy. The layout in general is awesome with tons of rails and a super cool ending shortcut that I've never actually hit. This is another track I love every part of.
3. Toad's Factory
This track on the Wii is one of my favorite tracks of all time, and I think this version is just slightly worse. I still love it, but the version on the Wii was better. It is still amazing though.
2. Acorn Heights
This is the first song I listened to on repeat. I love the music, and just how incredible this track looks. Gliding down, then jumping across leaves, vines, and walls, then dodging huge falling acorns then prkouring across the vines once again. There's even a wiggler here. This is my second favorite track in the whole entire game, and it was so hard deciding which of my 2 favorite tracks I liked more, but of you have been paying enough attention, you probably already know what my favorite track in all of Mario Kart World is.
1. Dandelion Depths
Yes. My favorite track in Mario Kart World is dandelion depths. The intermission going from fish fish falls (cheep cheep falls) to dandelion depths was the first track I ever played, even though it was on the demo machine at Target while my mom was shopping. This track does everything perfectly. It has great music, looks amazing, and that water section with the dandelions is just beautiful. I also love the concept of a company called Para biddybud construction trying to build a track, then likely abandoning the project. This track looks run down and broken, but I still love it. Sure, you could say the layout is too simple, but I love it. This is my 3rd favorite track in the whole entire series behind Vancouve Velocity and Mario Kart Wii's version of Toad's factory. And that's saying a lot because there's so many amazing Mario kart tracks, and this game's selection is incredible.
That is my Mario Kart World track ranking. Let me know what you agree and disagree with. Alright. Now I'm gonna go take a break because my hands hurt from typing all of this
Bye
30. Choco Mountain
I hate what they did to this track. I loved choco mountain in tour and 8 deluxe, and I think it would have been great to explore the original choco mountain in free roam. I just hate what they did to this track.
29. Wario Shipyard
