That's a First I've heard of a Wii U Stick Drifting. They use Magnetic Sensors which almost never get Stick Drift. Have you been eating while playing your Wii U by any chance? That's usually the cause of Stick Drift on Consoles besides the Switch.

You don't need to throw away your wii u, instead, you could blow on the control stick to get the dirt out
If it's not a dirt problem, then a wii remote is a good last resort option
