Anybody have any tips for the mini mushroom cup?

So I've been trying to unlock MKPC characters recently and I need 1 more gold cup to unlock Petey Pirahna. I got lucky on golden mushroom and lightning cup and got 2 second places, wich if you did'nt know, is worth 1 gold cup for unlocking characters. I just decided to go for mini mushroom cup because I spent like 1 hour each on both cups so I was done seeing the same tracks over and over again, but now, I can't get better than bronze on the mini mushroom cup. So I need help! I don’t care if it’s like recommending certain character stats of tips on the traks or just tips for driving. (PS. I can’t do snaking because my controllers arnt liking me or the computer 
) (PSS. I also havn’t had much luck with getting the gold cups in lightning and gold mushroom cups x2) But this is getting long so I will just end it here. Bye!

2: 1 accelaration

As a general rule, since Daisy has the best stats in this game, most stuff is built for you to be playing with Daisy's stats so you should always use either Daisy or a custom character with her exact stats.
