MK8DX New Meta

Wave 4 for the MarioKart 8 Deluxe: Booster Couse Pass was released a few days ago. With the new character and vehicle statistical update, many new combos have been now considered "meta". What are some combos y'all have found to be good?

There are new combos I've found to be good.

Luigi, Mach 8, Button, Gold
Yoshi, Yoshi Bike, Standard, Super
Yoshi, Teddy Buggy, Sponge, Gold
Rosalina, Inkstriker, Leaf, Gold

Etc

Bad news for people who wanted me to test combos, my WiFi is incredibly bad and thus it won’t allow me to update to Wave 4 ver.

Les go guys my Switch has WiFi again and it’s currently updating to Wave 4, will try out the combos

I remember using a few combinations a lot and they proved helpful up to this point in MK8DX.
Yoshi-Biddybuggy-roller(any type)
Wario-Mr.scooty-roller(any type)
Dry Bowser-Biddybuggy-roller(any type)
I also used a few new ones I learned from other streamers on Twitch.
Luigi-Inkster-roller
Rosalina-Teddy buggy-roller
Link-Cat cruiser-roller

I have a huge Mario kart 8 deluxe tournament at my school tomorrow and my entire grade is counting on me to win. There are high expectations for me to win. You guys know what the best combos are for 150cc offline? And what the best combos are for mario?

Yeah, I don’t know much about the meta but I do know that Mario standard is actually good.

Rosa Teddy Buggy is still THE thing now, right?

I'm actually happy they fixed the game to be more interesting now, seeing the same mix over & over is really redundant.

IDK. This month, I don't think I've ever seen a Rosa user online.

However, I DO see at least 1 other Yoshi user in each lobby so *Overreacts*

Edit: Just found someone in the lobby that used the EXACT same combo as me!

Edit 2: JUST FOUND A F***ING ROSALINA USER!!!! (They were using Varmint though so.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯   )

It's hard to say what's superior between Luigi/Iggy + Inkstriker, and Rosa/Link/King Boo + Teddy Buggy at this current point. There are a few pointers I can give though:
1. we can rule out King Boo for the same reasons that no-one used DK competitively, he took up too much space on the screen so the other two are strictly better.
2. Yoshi/Biddybuggy is only good in TT, because if you aren't snaking there's almost no advantage, you just lose speed.
3. If you're used to the old meta, I suggest Teddy+Roller over Inkstriker+Leaf. It's definitely more akin to pre-patch but with better results now.

In the Cat Cruiser, the chassis is medium weight with good speed and acceleration.

Cat Cruiser shares stats with Teddy, which has a better hitbox, so it's Teddy. End of discussion.

Nintendo holds them for schools all the time, wdym?
It's not like it'd be hard to set up either. Anybody can hold a Minor easily.

These combos mentioned are good. I play with many combos, but one of the ones I use is weird, yet still good, (not meta though) Toad, P Wing, Azure Rollers.
