Before a game would start, I would post something somewhere on the forum specifying how many roles are in the game and which roles those are. I'll give a link to the ONUW wiki page for a role description. For example:

I would then let people join the game, then secretly take notes about who has what card. After we get enough players, I would announce a day that this game would be played and what time. Probably in the afternoon (IST) At that dime on that day, I would DM everyone their roles to start the night. When it is your turn to "Wake Up", I would DM you, for Example,

"You are the Troublemaker.
Which two other players would you like to switch?
The other players in the game are:
randomguy1
randomguy3
randomguy4
randomguy5"

I would then do that action for that player.



Example of a night phase:
Randomguy1 is the Troublemaker
Randomguy2 is the Seer
Randomguy3 is the Squire
Randomguy4 is the Assassin
Randomguy5 is the Witch
Centre Card 1 is the Alpha Wolf
Centre Card 2 is the Insomniac
Centre Card 3 is a Werewolf
The Centre Werewolf Card is the Dream Wolf

The Assassin is first in night wake order, so randomguy4 wakes up first. He decides to place his Mark of the Assassin on randomguy1. Now randomguy4 only wins if randomguy1 dies.

If we were playing with more roles from One Night Ultimate Vampire, there would be more roles that wake up in dusk. However, we're not, so I inform everyone of their Marks.

Randomguy1 has the Mark of the Assassin
Everyone Else has a Mark of Clarity

The werewolves would be next, but they're in the centre, so their action is skipped. The Alpha Wolf's action is also skipped.
Next up is the Seer, so Randomguy 2 wakes up next. They decide to view Randomguy5's card. At this point in time, Randomguy5 is the Witch, so that's what I would tell Randomguy2 that they see.

Next it's the Witch's turn. Randomguy5 decides to view Centre Card 3. That card is a Werewolf, so now Randomguy5 has to switch that card for any player's card. Randomguy5 decides to switch it with her own card. She is now a Werewolf.

Next it's Randomguy1 the Troublemaker's turn. He decides to swap Randomguy2 and Randomguy3s' cards. Now Randomguy2 is the Squire and Randomguy3 is the Seer.

The Insomniac is next, but that card is in the center, so that action is skipped.

Next up is the Squire, so Randomguy3 wakes up, even though he doesn't know he isn't the squire anymore. However, since Randomguy5 didn't start the game as a Werewolf, I wouldn't tell Randomguy3 that she is a Werewolf. That means that Randomguy3 thinks he's a Squire with no teammates. He would try to get someone else killed.

Randomguy1 is still the Troublemaker but has the Mark of the Assassin.
Randomguy2 thinks they're the Seer, but they're actually the Squire.
Randomguy3 thinks he's the Squire, but he's actually the Seer.
Randomguy4 is still the Assassin.
Randomguy5 started as the Witch but she knows that she is now a Werewolf.



I would then instruct everyone to join the courtroom and give 5 minutes to discuss. When it is time to vote, everyone would DM their vote to me and I would tell everyone who won!
