Hello everyone!
It's been a while since I didn't do a topic of this kind, and I felt like doing it with a game I've been playing a lot lately ; Mario Kart Wii.
Well anyways, let's get into it !

Luigi Circuit
This track is really simple. For a beginner track, it can be pleasing, fun (it's got an easy shortcut and an harder shortcut, some boosts, some nice turns), but when you start to get better at the game, you kind of lose your love for this track. It becomes very forgettable, very easy, even if it's pretty fun I guess. It's not that bad but it's still boring. 2/5.

Moo Moo Meadows
My dad thinks this course is easy since 2019 and I have more trouble racing on this than on DK Summit (and that's for real).
I seem to be attached to the Moo Moos to the point where I'm hugging them at every race. It has gotten annoying, since while I'm doing this they're eating my item. There's plenty of grass though, notably those grass patches who will always cause me trouble at the end. If you take a ramp, you won't see the patch waiting for you down below. And trust me, I lost some ranks because of this. Anyways, it's a pretty fun track, nothing to get crazy about, but still a bit more creative and a bit funnier. 3/5.

Mushroom Gorge
This track is one of the funniest Wii tracks and one of the most satisfying tracks in the whole franchise. It is really good for a Mushroom Cup track, it's fairly easy but it has got its part of challenge and the difficulty climbs during the level, as an example given the mushrooms are found in three big sections. The beginning
which is a pretty easy shortcut and a simple Mushroom to bounce on. Then it becomes a split path where you can avoid the mushrooms if you're not fine with it. It's also easier to fall. Then you end up in the cave, where you'll be obligated to touch the mushrooms whatsoever. And trust me, a bad turn or a missed jump can cost more than you think. And at the end there's cute Goombas waiting for you to cut through the grass patch or to take the turn tightly. It's really a fun and creative track, with an amazing setting and a lot of creativity. Oh, and this track would've sucked without the tricks. 5/5

Toad's Factory
I don't play much on this track. It's pretty good in terms of challenge, especially with the mud patch at the end being able to change everything in a couple of seconds. It has gotten an incredible theming, that's the least I can say. MKWii's Nitros were so creative I swear. This circuit has a great structure, starting off easily with conveyors and crushers. Then, you'll have to carefully avoid boxes going left to right and not getting dragged away by the conveyors. There's also two conveyors before the final section ; and as you pop out of the factory, a grand and exciting music pops out, ending where a huge mud patch is placed. If you miss the boosts, then you're done for ! What a fun track. Easily a 5/5.

GCN Peach Beach
Peach Beach is kinda boring tbh. But it's still a cute track. The tides slowly covering the beach, then going away  then going back... the Cataquacks, even if they're pieces of garbage (and you haven't played the Watermelon Festival yet 😂), they add some challenge. If those freaking ducks weren't here
the beach would be so empty and boring. At least it references Mario Sunshine well. And I love hearing the Pianta voices near the town. I'm a sucker for Piantas. their main error was deleting the warp pipe, but everything else is fine, even if it's kinda boring. 3/5.

DS Yoshi Falls
This track is overhated. It has gotten a gorgeous scenery and nobody has ever mentioned that. It's pretty shocking tbh. I can understand, the track is a boring loop, no variety in gameplay, not much challenges... it's still beautiful and a fun track. I mean, there is boosts, there is some ramps, some waterfalls... the scenery is beautiful... so yes, it's boring. But it's But it's very overhated. Objectively though, I'll have to go with a 2/5.

SNES Ghost Valley 2
Not an amazing track. The track is flat, okay that's for nostalgia but that's still sorta... boring. I mean, there is an interesting shortcut, some challenge without being too hard and frustrating... but aside from that, let's be honest. It's a flat bridge in the darkness with some border blocks that fall off when you hit them.
2/5.

N64 Mario Raceway
Shell Cup has got everything, the one which takes what it deserves (Peach Beach), the overhated one (Yoshi Falls), the overrated one (Ghost Valley 2) and the underrated one (Mario Raceway).
I'll gladly say it again, this track is underrated. The turns are nice and are pretty challenging for a beginner and pretty easy for better players. There is actually a lot of shortcuts you can take, and I love that big pipe at the end. Sure, it's pretty boring, but it's still a sold track. 4/5.

I'll be covering other tracks tomorrow, I'm too tired to cover more today.

I like gorge but it's way better in MK8. Still the best Mushroom Cup track imo

Mario Circuit
This track is pretty good to be honest. Even if it's pretty boring compared to other renditions of Mario Circuits like the DS one, it's still quaint and pretty, easy for beginners, but still a bit harder, it's located around a cute village and there's rainbows in the backgrounds. To keep the track interesting there's some Goombas and a Chain Chomp ; for the strategic side, there is a little ramp that can be tough to take though. The gameplay is actually pretty good and the visuals are really good. It's pretty balanced and was a good sequel to Luigi's Circuit, however it is only a 3,5 to me since it's still a bit boring.

Coconut Mall
This track SUCKS. No creativity at all, no shortcuts, just a plain square that appears to be located into a little and ugly destined mall.
You just got coconut malled ! Share this with your friends to totally coconut mall them !
In all seriousness, this track is amazing. There's so many shortcuts everywhere. You can choose different conveyors, different floors, you can cut through little shops and drive peacefully around some other shops. You can also use boosts and make the persons who chose to eat on the tables freak out ; order urgently something at the coconut Cafe before choosing between a short jump after  a little passage in a verdant room with a cute tree and a majestic glass pathway that ends up in a grand jump that makes you descend to the parking. You can find some cars, and yeah it's better when they move, they add some challenge on that last section. The gameplay is fun and varied while the visuals are on another level of goodness : it is a perfect 5/5 for me.

DK Summit
This track used to be my favorite. Not anymore, but it's still very high on my list. This track is just tons of fun. Someone took DK Mountain and said "let's make this a ski slope with even more occasion to trick and a tricky straightaway at the end but with less ways to get MKed ! Oh and let's soften the tight turns :)" that's about it. Tricking around half pipes or jumping over dark gaps, going straight into the snow or going on the halfpipes to avoid it ? Have a handshake and an hug with the Shy Guys or not ? Everything is up to you. The creativity and the freedom of choice players possess guring this track is incredible. It is another 5/5 for me !

Wario's Gold Mine
This track is pretty hard for the Flower Cup but fine. The problematic section is right before the big jump once you are in the mine. You need to drift to take the virages well, and due to the rough slope, you'll need to pay close attention. It's also tough to not hit Minecarts if you're not careful . Anyways its a very creative theming and very good visuals, even if due to the frustrating nature of it, it can become pretty bad un gameplay. That's a 4/5.

N64 Sherbet Land
I didn't hate on many tracks since we've started this list, but I guess it's finally time. This track is bad. It's boring. It's slippery. Nothing to like here. The road is way too wide so the track feels empty. The only distraction are some little penguins here and there and a big penguin who got himself stuck on an island somehow. The music is really good, sure. But aisde from that it's really meh. It's just an icy sea, with some ice to form a racetrack over it. There's barely anything to keep that part (and oh my god that part is SOOOOOO long) interesting, there's just one rock at some point and a ramp. Thank god I would have fell asleep without that. The cave is a better section than the ice pack by miles. No slippery physics. Some actual challenge. Beautiful textures. Pillars and penguins to dodge. DIfferent strategies to choose. But yet again, it can barely save Sherbet Land. I'm sorry, but this can't be rated any higher than 1,5/5.

GBA Shy Guy Beach
Holy Wargod the first half of the Banana Cup is terrible. Two boring tracks in a row. Anyways, this track is still a bit better though. Some bombs are falling from the backgroun and it's honestly good they actually make a risk instead of the GBA version where they did NOTHING. The graphics and the music aren't that good ; the gameplay is still a bit boring despite some offroad and some jumps placed on the track. This is a 2/5.

DS Delfino Square
It really came at the right time to save us from this abysmal cup. This track is absolutely stunning. EVerything about it is AMAZING. It's quaint, it has some challenge, tons of shortcuts, a good music, incredible visuals, fairly good gameplay etc. It's really a track I'm looking forward to when I'm stucked on Sherbet Land trying to tell myself that the track is done soon and that I'm gonna play Delfino Square later. There's so many detail. SO MANY DETAILS. There's some clothes tied up on a rope over the streets. There's an alternate path where you kinda choose where to go. There's a ramp that allows you to jump over a lake and skip a big part of the track if you're good enough. There's a little muddy street that can be very useful if you have a mushroom, there's even a bridge with boosts at the end. This is easily a 5/5, a breathtaking and varied track with so many details to see.

GCN Waluigi Stadium
It looks like the Banana Cup is split into two parts : boring and amazing. This track is part of the amazing half. It's got lot to please. Some shortcuts to go through the mud here and there, lots of ramps... The track keeps you excited to the every last second. I hated this track before since as a kid I got shocked over the void after the big jump on L3 and I would lost 7 ranks for that + the gold banana cup. I was disgusted lol. But aside from that it's a really good track, that used the halfpipes at their full potential. Antoehr 5/5.

Time to get to the fan's favorite : obviously, the Star Cup !

Daisy Circuit
What if I tell you that this circuit is considered the worst of the Star Cup by most fans ? Well that's the case though. It's a really nice track. The track isn't hard, it's maybe too easy flr a Star Cup track, but hey, it was still very creative, and at least it didn't break the amazing track selection this cup has. This track has still a fair challenge, but the scenery is the main quality of this track if you ask me. Little pink houses all around the track, a sun setting over the sea, a lighthouse... it's got a lot to please. It really reminds Super Mario Sunshine somehow. It is a raceway, but it's way more creative. We went from a small stadium belonging to Luigi, to a nice village where Peach Castle locates, owned by Mario, and now we're at a superb beach resort owned by Daisy. Driving in the small town, discovering a hidden
shortcut through the wall, dodge the statues of Luigi and Daisy dancing, passing through a tunnel, and then driving around a lighthouse. This sounds way more than a raceway. This is way more than a raceway. This track is underrated as hell. 4,5/5 for me.

Koopa Cape
Koopa Cape is also a fan favorite, and the reason as to why is obvious as soon as you enter the track. The visuals look incredible, the track is a really fair challenge, the theming is interesting and something fresh we've never seen (and that we won't see again) before : first, you slowly climb up a mountain, then you follow the current as a river streams down a little valley, until you'll reach the cape, where you'll have a beautiful and breathtaking view... before falling in a glass pipe. From that glass pipe, you'll be able to see other pipes and an eel ! Like in Chain Chomp's Roulette, this section is like an aquarium.
But the track's not done yet haha. You still have to follow another water current in the pipe, and avoid electric bars that spin around in the tunnel. And as you get out, you'll see the last waterfall (don't go for it lol, you could lose a lot due to that) and you'll end the race beautifully. This track is really interesting and amazing in terms of theming. It just shows how creative MKWii was. A trip into breathtaking valleys and an adventure in different sections. Isn't that amazing? And that's aside from the soundtrack. The soundtrack is amazing. It fits the track and it's catchy, but it's also divided in three parts  a regular part for the beginning  a more catchy, bouncy, chewy part for the river and a chill and relaxing, contemplative part for the pipe. Everything is just so amazing. 5/5 well deserved.

Time for another track in the Star Cup ! toad

Maple Treeway
This track is another fan favorite... And yes it's honestly breathtaking. I mean, the title as a whole is already great and gives a hint about what this track is gonna be about. But once you enter the track... Once you get the slightest peek at this luxurious environment...
Your expectations are blown. Maple Treeway is one of the most artistically creative tracks, but also in terms of gameplay. You start off in a little forest between the trees, and there is already a secret passage ! You just need to cut through that grass patch, and it will guide you to a tunnel inside the trees. After a rapid run through the trees, you would think the track would let you cool down for a bit. No. You are blasted by a cannon to another tree. This time you'll do a 270 degree turn next to a big tree, before arriving on a log, and this is the worst part of this level. You'll have to be careful because the controls are very slippery here. But aside from that, it's very fun. You'll get on the top of a scarlet tree, and you'll have to avoid Wigglers walking around. After that, another log, this time more easy to negociate. After a little halfpipe section, there will be a straight line, where you'll pass inside a tree, but also in a cave, before jumping on a treetop where there are little houses. The final section is a net that is shaking due to a strong wind coming from below. You can trick on it, which adds so much tbh. And for the ending, you'll have 2 options. Going in the trees at the left of the road or at the right, with a boost and a trick ramp, or staying on a straight line, where you can trick off the roots (yet it will get you very high in the air lol.) The visuals are beautiful, in a scarlet and shiny valley with many autumn colors and a lot of trees, even a lake down below, while you're racing above this valley during all the race. This is an easy 5/5.

I need to work on this more, right ?
Grumble Volcano
Grumble Volcano is...
Grumble Volcano is a MKW track ? Jk. Just forgot about it for a second. Although I don't play much on it, I find it to be a quite interesting track, the theming is really nice, you've got to explore the inside of a volcano, then you'll go around in some sort of burnt plains and there's a cool split path at the end. That sounds like a nice track. But wait, I forgot the most interesting gimmick! Some parts of the road crack like egg shells during the latter laps. That's actually a really good concept. Then, I don't know why I'm playing it this rarely ? This track has a really cool concept, nice visuals, a nice gameplay... 4,5/5
Dry Dry Ruins
I'll be honest here, this track isn't a S tier. It's definitively fun and good. But that's not as good as y'all make it to be. So this track is a one of those tracks that are based on off-road shortcuts. And oh god, if you took Toadette and the Magikruiser, you'd be blessed. This track is a ton of fun if you can take the shortcuts. Not only enormous shortcuts like cutting the lake but also simple shortcuts like the ending skip who actually saves a lot of time, or grandly jumping over the sand that is falling down to make HILLS in the final part of the ruins during lap 3. There's also some pillars that are trickable, a nice theming and a nice challenge. To be honest, this track is good, just slightly overrated. I find the half pipe kinda janky but that might just be me. Anyways, sounds like another 4,5/5
Moonview Highway
While it really provides a good challenge, it's just hard to like whatsoever. It's like being welcomed to k-pop but the first songs you're being forced to listen are NCT 127, NCT Dream with some NCT U on the side. You should rather show songs that are an easy and catchy bop that everyone can appreciate and enjoy. I like the theming, the city is beautiful, we need some of that more often 😭 however, the challenge the cars provide is ridiculously excessive. Some of them are ready to welcome you just behind a turn. For VS mode, trust me it's fun, it's chaos, you'll enjoy it. But on TTs where everything is a Daredevil Run and where the slightest pixel can make you go from 69th to 420th, well its not fun. You'll have to avoid cars, trucks of all sorts coming your way. You will also need to close the blinds or either way you won't see anything and will be genuinely confused while a drunk Toad who just got out of a party which included many Toadettes of all kinds, and especially, alcohol, will be coming at you while laughing like Genocide Jill. Gosh, this track is painfully hard yet the concept, the visuals... it's also hard to dislike.
I can't go with anything other than 2,5/5, the painfully mid rating.
Edit : I realized this track was actually pretty better than what I remembered, it's true that the cars aren't that much of a better, I feel like this is more of a 4/5 now.
Bowser's Castle
Remember what I just said about Moonview Highway ; it sucked in TTs but was a fun and joyful chaos in VS. Well this track is the opposite. It's really good on TTs, but on VS I can't help but get bumped and bullied in all directions, even with the Flame Runner. Aside from that, the theming is good and the rendition as well, it was less varied than the DS version but was still good nonetheless. It's kinda mid but looks good and plays good. It also provides the right amount of challenge I guess. 4/5.
Rainbow Road
If you asked my dad about this he would straight up give 1 out of 5 and call it a day. Skill issue. Just kidding. On my side though, I can't help but like this track. It's a good challenge no matters what my dad has to say, without being frustrating (bro is thinking drunk Toads coming at you at supersonic speed like Eminem's lyrics is better than a nice stroll in the space.) On a more serious note though, it's absolutely beautiful. The rainbow texture doesn't have this weird DS/3DS pattern and looks as pure as it can get, it looks like glass, like pastel... beautiful all the way. MKT's color palette for this track is terrible. Lackluster, dark, boring, it looked so bad lol. Thus track is really good tbh. In VS, that's kinda fun, I like the slope at the beginning being super vertical, the wavy road, the circles that you can trick off, the S turn that you can cut off, the launch star that looks really good, the odd half pipe passage, the split path and the end. It all looks so good and plays so good. And for TT, it's a really solid, satisfying and fun track. This deserves a 5/5.

Moonview Highway is an easy 5/5 from me. A highway is supposed to be frantic, and this is the only highway track in MK where you actually go fast. The cars are also relatively easy to avoid as well since there are large gaps between them.

Another thing I like about the track is that the compensation for cutting the inside and saving time is that you have the risk of coming head on with a car and have less reaction time to avoid it.

Overall this track is perfect as a highway track and for the Special cup. I'm quite surprised you gave it a low 2.5/5 (but I respect your opinion).

I'm sorry for triple posting but that would result in people not knowing that I responded this topic a second time, and people followed the topic to stay tuned, I don't want them to miss anything.
DS Desert Hills
This track is forgettable as hell. Hardly any theming aside from the desert, hardly anything that makes this track shine. Shortcuts maybe? Meh, they were more interesting in Dry Dry Ruins. The Pokeys are trying so hard to make this track exciting along with the fire snakes, but it's mid. I forgot it existed so many times. When I first had MKWii, I didn't knew any track, so I discovered them one by one. I discovered this one super late, it was like the 30th one, and I was underwhelmed. Apart from being a weaker version of Dry Dry Ruins, it doesn't do much for me. 3/5.
GBA Bowser's Castle 3
This track isn't that great. Sure, it isn't that bad, but it's not that great. It's a flat GBA Bowser's Castle, constantly overshadowed by the two other BCs that you can find in the same game. It's a circuit made of bluebricks and steel, with lots of 90 degree turns which can get pretty annoying at times. The jump section is good, but that's really only what there is to it. The rest is a lot of sharp turns you have to negotiate well. Overshadowed, forgettable and frustrating enough. 3/5 as well.
N64 DK's Jungle Parkway
Before playing it, I was told this was a very nice, easy track, enjoyable and offering tons of interesting shortcuts. My ass, yes. This is horrible. The main road is more slippery than my mental state. The corners are impossible to cut since there's that janky mechanic of putting a small slope at the edge of off-road. That makes little cuts so janky. The track looks nice, that's not a problem, and the theling isn't bad, it's just very boring and plays fairly bad. 2/5
GCN Mario Circuit
I swear the Leaf Cup was about to be an absolute trashfire garbage if this track didn't save the day. Forgettable, overshadowed, boring and irritating? And yet again this doesn't save the Leaf Cup that much. It's very similar to the Wii version, driving around the castle
turning around a Chain Chomp, a tunnel and some Goombas. I liked the bumpy part and the Piranhas tho. But it's a weaker version of Wii MC in terms of visuals, maybe winning points in gameplay. This is a 3,5/5. Tbh, it's better than the rest of the Cup, but it's still kinda boring I'm sorry.

It's actually hard to tell for me. This track could actually go up to 4,5 if I felt like doing that. The track is indeed really good in terms of concept, provides a good challenge. I also played it today and didn't took any car, so I guess I'll improve my rating.
