Reviewing every SMG4 Video!

This video opens with a gag that does nothing to the plot. I know this will be a wonderful time. When the actual video starts, Mario is bored, and goes to kill Bowser. Bowser is feeling down today, so he kicks Mario out. Mario tells Toad about it, and claims hes a good friend to Bowser, even though he tried to kill him FIVE MINUTES AGO. Not only that, Toad shows examples of Mario being a terrible friend, like not giving him a present for Christmas because, in Marios own words “Being Gay”, Forgetting his birthday,  annoying him with red shells, and... ?????.  However Mario wasn’t even listening to him, and brought out his twin. Hero of the story everyone. Toad forces him to go to Bowser. When Mario gets to Bowsers place, Mario apologizes for all the mean stuff he did to him. Bowser dosent buy it, and kicks Mario out again. Mario goes in again and the cycle repeats. I would think that’s when you realize that Bowser wants nothing to do with you, and leave him alone. Instead, Mario goes to the store to buy something to make Bowser happy. The store dosent have anything, so he asks a Goomba, who attacks him. Mario realizes that Bowser just wants a hug. Mario tries to give him a hug, and Bowser proceeded  to run away. Mario then annoys Bowser even more, defeating the purpose of him even coming. Nothing interesting to comment about here. Bowser decides to duel Mario with Cork guns, which he loses, and  plays dead. Mario leaves to get Bowser some help, and in the meantime Bowser drives off with his car. Later, Bowser misses Mario for some reason. This makes no sense for-me, but ill get into that mess in a sec. Bowser then replicates a flashback episode, He misses him so much, that Bowser stops on some train tracks. He gets hit. Mario goes to see him in the Pokémon Center. Bowser then calls Mario a good friend, and then the video is over. Mario is just way too annoying in this video, he basically does nothing but annoy Bowser for the whole video, and yet gets credited as a good friend. With that logic, a friend who supports you is a bad friend. Now i want to talk about Bowsers decision in the final act. When he decided to go  be friends with Mario again, I yelled BULL(Censored) at my screen. Mario has done nothing to Bowser throughout this entire video to prove that he needs Bowsers friendship. In fact, Bowser said his day was ruined because of Mario. Chances are Mario is just going to go back to his old ways, and annoy Bowser. Mario is not a good friend, and he will never be a good friend until later seasons.  All of this makes the resolution feel forced. My ideal ending is that Bowser gets into a car crash, and then Mario saves him and proves that he is a good friend. Enough Fanfics. Review done.

This video, like many others, starts with a gag, except this one is slightly more important than the rest. This one shows X! That’s the most important it gets. After the title screen, Mario talks to Toad, and X closes a door, causing Mario and Toad to get suspicious. Mario goes outside and does exercises. X is on top of the castle, even we literally just saw him go into the Jolly Roger Bay and Aquarium room, and it’s impossible to get on top of the castle with using the cannon outside. X then dives into Mario, taking over his body. Mario gets transported into his mind, which makes me ask something . Why did X choose Mario out of all people? But that’s something i want to discuss later. X explains who he is and his motives. Mario then explores his brain. Not important, but it is short though. Meanwhile, on the side of X, he goes on a killing spree, and kills Lakitu too for good measure. Back in the brain, Mario decides to go and stop X since he had all the fun in this video. This is the official reason too. I have no problem with this, but I dont like the videos taking the words right out of my mouth. He finds the control room, where X is just standing there. X then tells Mario how to beat him: with a key that is with Bowser. Mario steals the key and gets X to tell him where it goes. One Mario Party minigame later, and X is extracted from Marios body. Mario proceeds to beat X up. Aftermath: X is locked up until a Murder without Peach, and even that is Season 2. I have several questions. First of, Why did X take over Marios body? Mario is fat and stupid and stuff, so why didnt X take over someone like Bowser? Wait, I know now, its so this video would have tension. Other than that, there is nothing to say about this video: It’s average. Review over.

This video does not have a intro gag to speak of. It just goes right into the story, which is a plus in my book! So basically, Luigi stole all the toilet paper, so Mario hunts him down and and finds him and E.Gadd working on a cannon in the battlefield. Mario wants to go in the cannon,and Luigi bets that if he somehow go's on another adventure he gets 50 dollars. So Mario goes into the cannon, and aims it at the sky. He launches far into the air, with Luigi wanting his 50 dollars. After the title screen, Mario lands into a mystirious place. He asks the nearby Bomb-Omb where is he, and the Bomb-Omb tells him he is in the Land That Never Was. Roll Credits. The sign taunts him and he tries to kill a goomba. The Goomba  tells him that the different houses lead to different doors. These different worlds that up a majority of the video, which is better than having the plot start about halfway through. But for sake of keeping this review short, I will skip them all except for the final one. Mario has to race against Koopa The Quick on Rainbow Road and he gets 3 tries. First time, he sinks into the road. Second time, the camera screws him up. Third time, Mario gives up and jumps over a wall, which is where the goal is. As a result, Quick kicks Mario out of the Land That Never Was, right in front of Peaches Castle Too. Mario meets back with Luigi and then the video is over. This video isnt that bad, and it did make me chuckle a few times, but it really isnt something im going to watch again. Like i said it isnt that bad. The idea of the Land That Never Was in general was a good consept, and it worked. But some parts of the video were just boring or just hard to watch. But then again, this isnt offensive, its just okay. Note. This review was supposed to be a double review, but i decided on tommorow because its late. now trivia.  

This video goes and gets straight to the point, which I like. This video starts with the Mushroom Kingdom having a bad rainstorm, with Mario and Toad staying inside. But then he has to go and  the unplug the pipes, which means nothing for the rest of the video. Anyway, Mario answers the door for a stranger who dosent even talk. This stranger also happens to look like Mario with a fire flower. So Mario lets this stranger stay at the castle because its raining. Toad dosent trust this visitor, so he gets Mario to question him. This stranger stays silent, but Toad lets Mario keep him there because plot. Luigi arrives, and meets Silent Guy. Mario has Silent Guy sleep in the Aquarium, where Luigi also happens to sleep at. That night, everyone is asleep. Silent Guy enters the aquarium, waking up Luigi. After a intense staredown,Silent Guy charges at Luigi, and murders him in cold blood. Kill Count: 1. That morning, Mario finds only Silent  in the aquarium, with no sign of Luigi. Mario brushes it off as Luigi going missing, and lets Silent stay for some more time. Later, Silent walks up to Toad, and Toad comments about how big his teeth are. Toad is then killed. Silent proceeds to kill King Bomb-Omb, King Whomp, and Bowser. Kill Count: 5. The news then reports about how many people had been killed and hurt in the past few days, and shows a picture of Silent as the killer. Meanwhile, Mario is wondering who could have done it, when he hears something. Silent then comes into the room and tells Mario that he is the killer. Silent then runs away, with Mario following. However, Silent uses a moonjump to get away from Mario. Then, we find out that Toads not dead! Kill count: ?. Toad then asks Mario if he wants to stop the killer. Mario decides to help Toad stop Silent. So Toad calls apon Wario, Donkey Kong, Peach, Yoshi, and Luigis ghost to help stop Silents wrath. They all went off to find Silent on their own, and Mario finds him. Silent, who isnt even silent, has been waiting for him. Then Not Really Silent says that hes been wanting to kill Mario for a while. They have the most epic brawl of all time, ending with Mario blowing Silent up with a Big Bomb. So silent is dead now, and then the Blooper ends with the rain ending, and the threat being exterminated.I really like the more horror movie like aspects about this blooper. Even though it was realesed in late July, it really feels like a Halloween episode, and thats what I love about it. It even teaches a valuable moral; dont invite random strangers to your house! The twist that Toad was alive also caught me off guard. I genuinely didnt expect that. I really recommend this video to anyone willing to watch Smg4. Not only that, theres only one hour left until I get off the train, oh joy! Next is the trivia part.

Today, SMG4 is going to visit Mario! Hurray! At the castle, Toad is explaining to Mario about what puberty is, when the doorbell suddenly rings. Mario answers the door. This new visitor is SMG4!


Mario thinks that SMG4 is just a random hobo, and tells him to leave. SMG4 is shocked that Mario dosent know who he is, and so he explains that hes the youtuber that Mario works for. Smg4 also says that he is just visiting for 1 day. Lets see about that. Mario then goes to take a wizz outside. After the title card, Mario hears someone calling him from under the bridge. Its just some Shady Guy, and he wants SMG4s account really badly. So he makes a deal with Mario. If Mario gives him SMG4s password, He will give Mario all you can eat pasta. Mario then goes over to SMG4s house to steal the password. He knocks out Luigi and gets the password. After giving the password to Shady, he runs off without giving Mario pasta. Mario has to tell SMG4, and he is livid. Very livid. Hes punching walls and yelling that he hates Italians, as Mario is getting out of there. Mario goes to sleep, and a few hours later, Mario wakes up. The floor is corrupted, Lefty is nowhere in sight, and Mario is naked. Shady now has complete control of Mario somehow, and he hurts Mario a lot. Later, Shady is trying to drown Mario, when Mario regains control of himself, as Shady has to go do something. Mario goes back inside to get SMG4, who is still raging. They both decide to get into his account and change the password, which dosent work as Shady had already changed the password. SMG4 then decides to write a letter to YouTube about his issue. He sends it, and its time to wait. Later on, YouTube replies back, saying that it was his responsibility. So now what? SMG4 decides to go straight to the source of the problem: Shady Guy. Shady Guy decides to close SMG4s account, and nobody can stop him. He gets on the roof of the castle, and attempts to close SMG4s account. However, Mario planted a  bomb inside Shadys computer, which blows up. We never see Shady Guy again, so I m just going to assume hes dead. A note fell from his pocket before he died, which was the password he gave SMG4s account. SMG4 then leaves in this big goodbye. The end! Also I lied, Shady isnt dead.
This video is when SMG4 really started to pick up editing, and this video is edited decently. I also like how the useless moments are kept to a minimum in length. I just like it, though less than last video. Now time for that trivia.

This video starts with Lakitu looking for Mario, who is acting like a statue.Lakitu gives Mario an address which has "Unlimited sphagetti and pasta", Which Mario goes to, of course. It turns out that the adress leads to Merlin's House, which Mario is mad about. He gets over it, and checks out a floating pyramid on the table. Merlin tells Mario that it keeps the world normal, but Mario can care less. He destroies it with his hammer, and goes back to the castle. He goes on his way, and the world is already less normal. There is sudden lightning, and Mario gets a seizure from it, and lands in Peach's basement. He goes upstairs, and thinks
about how weird things are getting, so he talks to Toad. Toad is preocupidied with his head being sideways. Mario then shows him examples of
the world being weird, that i'll skip. I dont have enough time to cover them all. I will say that it furthers the plot just a little further. Toad tells Mario to go look for help to restore normality, which he tries to, and dosent. no comment here, except for the fact that the video stops because SMG4's computer explodes. Also we re over halfway in. Mario goes to the star spirits, gets in a car in their house, and crashes into Peach's basement. Mario just gives up until he decides to go back to Merlin. Upon reaching his house, Merlin tells Mario that he needs to buy it, and as such, the day is once again saved by Merlin, no thanks to Mario. If I had one word to describe this video, I would choose either "unfunny", or "boring". I have watched this video twice; One time casually, and another time, just now to be exact, for the review. Both times, i found this video boring. despite the plot being about Mario trying to fix everything to make it normal again, which is intresting, SMG4 basically does nothing to show how this could be intresting. The most that it ever gets is unfunny gags. And because this video is so unfunny, it makes it boring to get through, which is annoying, because he could have done so much more with this solid idea of a episode. To get a little more positive here, I do like Merlin in this, but shes only here for the first 2 minutes, and the final two minutes, which is sad. Other than that, this video just bores me to death. I'm glad i'm never watching this again. Ok, Trivia time, and then my current rankings.

Hey.... anyone here? No? Great. It's been nearly two years since I abandoned this topic with no prior warning. Clearly, I wasn't planning on dropping off the map entirely. For a long time after this review was released, I was planning a massive review of other SMG4 videos, at least 3-5 in one post. Obivously, that never ended up happening. One thing kept me from making it. that was my multicup, Super Coolio Kart X-2/ Zero 2. Around the time I wanted to make the hyper-review, I was starting to start developing more and more of X-2, so it would reach a release date around July - September of 2022. X-2, along with my increasing lack of free-time due to classwork and Sonic Robo Blast 2 servers, led me to slow down work on the review, and eventually stop working on it altogether. After X-2 was finished in October of 2022, I felt like it was way too late to continue this series, so I felt like I had to cancel it, offically. I didn't bother locking it a second time either. Now, look where I am! Zero presence on the fourms, and stuck with a few projects. We have Super Coolio Kart EX, which began way too soon after X-2. I feel like I should have waited my burnout out, and then mke EX. Then we have Super Coolio Kart X-2: Battle, which is mainly made because I feel like I have to do it. Super Coolio Kart Legends is a multicup I do want to make, but I feel like it's too soon to do it. Sonic the Racers is too early on for anything to happen. Hell, it doesn't have a zone lineup yet! I just don't take risks anymore. I was more ambitous during this era, doing this topic, trying out pixelart for the first time, doing whatever without regretting it. I think this may come off as selfish, but it's how I truly feel. Oh well. Maybe I could bring it back... Anyway, I hope Super Coolio Kart X-3 will be different. Thats all. See ya later, or whatever.
