so there was a item added on April 1 2023
and later got removed
its called the black shell aka dark shell
a reskin of the blue shell to have black/dark purple color

It's actually not removed, unlike the Blue Shell, the Dark Shell goes for the Fella in the back instead of the front.

To clarify, it's removed from the default item selection. To get it, you have to click "Import/Export", then "Import", and then type in "darkshell". Sadly, these buttons are only found within the custom item distribution menu and thus the Dark Shell is gone from Grand Prix
