How do i get the mistery mushro in mario maker

Do you need an amiibo for it or is there another way?

Now in 2025, yes you need an amiibo, you can't do 100 Mario Challange anymore, I believe you shake the Weird Mushroom after at least one costume. (You may know SMM3DS and SMM2 doesn't support it)  

I just unlocked it after waiting for a while also i found out you can record your own sfx so mario screams everytime he takes damage XD
