Nope, it still doesn't work. To be specific, I am falling off right before the loop on the GCN Luigi Circuit-themed area. It's respawning me past one of the key checkpoints, and therefore not counting my lap.

You must have used one of the jumps to go into the wall. There is no way I could fix that except remove the jumps, which I can't exactly do if this is supposed to be just like Waluigi Pinball, but a battle course.
