Exactly, and complex tracks tend to be another step in track creation, because they are usually more likely to be a miss, since they're harder to manage. Learn to create a solid and stable thing first, and then you can be bold with themings, etc. Imo jumping on complexity is burning steps.

Look at NewJeans lmao, their songs are nowhere near mindblowing. Their new album is chill, but that's their concept. That's what you call influence. You bring something simple to a complex industry and people like it. No fierce rap, no hook verses, no mindblowing dance break, no high notes... music to the bone. But the music is polished.

It's good to get out of your comfort zone once you've mastered everything, but the start of your journey will never be perfect

Nah I don't think it's that basic. Max's skills in creation are very much represented in this multicup : it's miles away from standing out, but it's miles away from being bad. It's pretty good.
