Learn how to snake (continuously drift left, then right, then left and so on), or learn to reverse drift. (way more complicated, ask one of the REALLY good players (not me) about it. Snaking is very easy to learn but hard to master.

I TOTALLY agree with both of you I do not like the DS rainbow road quick mode theme BUT only some of the turns have the holes
